Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Stars

Perth Scorchers made a poor start to the season, as they were outclassed with both bat and ball by Melbourne Renegades, recording a lowly 130 runs.
It was a huge surprise how poorly they performed in the first round, considering the depth the Scorchers have with plenty of quality players, including multiple international T20 representatives.
They have Josh Inglis, Colin Munro, Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Turner and Cameron Bancroft in the line-up, and will be looking to get their season back on track here.

Melbourne Stars have two wins from two and sit at the top of the ladder.
It may be a clash between ladder leaders and last place, however this should be a lot closer than it looks. The Scorchers have a very strong team on paper and will be up for the fight against a Stars team packed full of their own world-class talent.

Lead by skipper Mitch Marsh and the likes of Andrew Tye and Jyhe Richardson, the Scorchers can match it with the big name players on the Stars roster. The fact that they come into this match off a poor showing in their season opener means that they will be ready to fire and prove that that poor performance was just a one-off.

Colin Munro got a duck in the last match against the Renegades. In his T20 career, he has had a total of six zero scores. His average the game after getting a duck is 42.40.

Nothing like that here locally unfortunately. Our books are still somewhat conservative when it comes to same game multi's etc etc.....which is most unfortunate from a punting perspective.

I too struggle to find certain markets sometimes, looks like the European bookies are ahead of us from this point of view.

Brisbane Heat vs Adelaide Strikers

After two rounds, Brisbane Heat are winless and for the first time this season they will play in front of their home crowd. Yes, there will be a crowd in Brisbane tonight, as they are doing very well with the Covid situation.

Therefore, with the crowd behind them a big motivation factor, Heat are expected to get their first win.

Chris Lynn, their captain, had a very good performance last time out and he nearly snatched the win against Sydney Thunder. Lynn has been quite vocal in his expectations for the Heat to improve and I'm banking on them to win tonight.

I also forgot that it also depends on who's batting first, and the Hurricanes did a poor job.

We have the Sydney derby in Canberra today courtesy of Covid. Looked at that Sixers 11/10 but Thunder have won their last four at this ground so will swerve. Not having any joy with Sixers bowlers so falling back on a batsman.
