Sugita vs Tomic

Tomic said in recent interviews as well as during the qualifications to this tournament, that he wants to get his career back on track.

He showed grit and determination in his qualification matches, as he fought through long 3-setter matches and didn't give up.

Bet: Tomic +2.5 @1.83

Djokovic vs Chardy

These two players met 13 times in their careers so far and Djokovic won every time in straight sets.

In general it's about how Djokovic feels about the game, as there aren't many players who can dictate terms with him, a few in the top 10, and certainly not Chardy, ranked 66, who has never budged in front of Djokovic.

Chardy played a couple of tournaments in the warm up to this event and reached the semifinals in Antalya and Murray River Open in Melbourne. Djokovic played at the ATP Cup and beat Shapovalov and Zverev.

Djere vs Nadal

Under 25.5 game @1.86

Smaller stakes because Nadal complained of back pain and that's why he didn't play at the ATP Cup.
If he is even 90%, he should cruise through this match.

A small bet on these overwhelming favourites tonight.

J Vesely vs P Carreno Busta
A Tomljanovic vs S Halep
M Cressy vs A Zverev
G Dimitrov vs A Bolt

Carreno Busta is in very good form, he played very well at the ATP Cup and in the previous round he dispatched Nishikori in 3 sets.
Halep is one of the big favourites to win the tournament.
Zverev is world number 7, Cressy is close to 200.
Dimitrov dispatched Cilic in 3 sets in the previous round, while Bolt, ranked 166, is hoping for a good performance.

Bet: Busta + Zverev + Dimitrov + Halep @1.91

Djokovic vs Raonic

This match-up has been lopsided in the past, with Djokovic winning all 11 matches so far, losing only 3 sets.
The odds are high now for a Djokovic win because of his injury concerns.
He has not trained ahead of this match, and although I take his injury issues with a grain of salt (I saw him "injured" before and went on to win the match), I think the bookies themselves doubt that he can have a walk in the park against Raonic tonight.

Raonic has a very good chance tonight, he has one of the most powerful serves on the tour and he blasts tons of aces.

Bet 1: Raonic +4.5 @1.93
Bet 2: Raonic over 21.5 aces @1.83

Fognini vs Nadal

This match-up is always entertaining and Fognini's moods can turn around a match either way.

Fognini showed determination so far and he even had a heated exchange with fellow Italian Caruso at the end of their match, then dispatched De Minaur in 3 sets.

Halep to beat Serena @1.90.

The odds were making her an underdog, but they shifted to making her the favourite.

Regardless, Halep has come a long way and she already beat Serena two times. Last time they met was in the Wimbledon final two years ago, when Halep dispatched Serena in two quick sets in less than one hour.

Djokovic vs Karatsev

The No. 1 player in the world against the No. 114 player in the world in a Grand Slam semifinal.
Djokovic injured... what a Djoke here, he didn't look injured at all during four-set wins over Milos Raonic and Alexander Zverev in the fourth round and quarters, respectively.
And anyway... this is probably the biggest mismatch in grand slam semifinal history. Karatsev was lucky to get past an injured Dimitrov, who was just serving and let Karatsev return wherever he pleased and win the points. He tanked the last two sets of their match because he was injured.
Djokovic breathes with relief that it is not Dimitrov on the other side of the net in this semifinal.

Karatsev started slowly against both Auger-Aliassime and Dimitrov, and while Auger-Aliassime for various reasons let him off the hook, Dimitrov got injured.
Expect Djokovic to start strong and take care of business to reach his ninth Australian Open Final.

Bet 1: Total games under 31.5 @1.85
Bet 2: Djokovic 3-0 @1.70

Medvedev vs Tsitsipas

Tsitsipas qualified to the semifinals after a gruelling 5-setter against Nadal.
Medvedev cruised through his matches, and his last one was a routine 3-0 against Rublev in 2 hrs 6 minutes.

After Thiem defeated Kyrgios in 5 sets, another long match, he crashed 0-3 to Dimitrov in his next one.

As such, I expect a low now from Tsitsipas, as it usually happens after a player wins a big match.

Medvedev would have been quite happy to see that Tsitsipas played a hard 5-sets match.
He is on a 19-match winning streak and he is a ridiculous 11-0 in his last 11 matches against top 10 opponents.

There is a reason why Medvedev has the upper hand over Tsitsipas in their h2h, and being more rested too, I take the Russian to win in 3 or 4 sets.

Bet 1: Medvedev (-1.5 sets) @1.83

Djokovic vs Medvedev

Djokovic hasn't looked as dominant as in the past at this tournament. Karatsev, ranked 114, any other time would not have taken 6-7 games off Djokovic in 3 sets, but not only that, Karatsev broke Djokovic serve two times!

Medvedev has looked sharp throughout this tournament and dispatched his opposition with ease, including Rublev and Tsitsipas.
He already beat Djiokovic three times recently, last time at the ATP Finals in London in November.

Medvedev is strongly up and coming and I think it's time he won his first Grand Slam, as this new generation started to click. Thiem won his first Grand Slam at the US Open recently, and I think now it's Medvedev's turn to win one.

Bet: Medvedev @2.00

Adding another bet to my earlier one.
These are the best 2 players in the world right now. Although Medvedev is at number 3, he can climb to 2nd if he wins this. He is on a 20-match winning streak and is a ridiculous 20-0 in sets against top 10 opposition.

Nothing much to say about Djokovic. He's at his best at the Australian Open and he still is the man to beat.
This match should be a long one.

Bet: Over 39.5 games @1.75
