Super Rugby Pacific, Currie Cup, Champions & Challenge Cup finals 24-29 May

Some mixed results this weekend but thanks to the Newsletter Best Bet of Leicester -9.5 arriving (thanks to Chris and Alex) I came out slightly ahead.

I was really annoyed on Friday morning when I received a message from You Tube saying THE HANDICAP had been made private due to a Spam or other issue. It eventually emerged it was a glitch on their side so we should be back to normal but for those who watch the show on You Tube remember we also go out on Facebook so as a back up you can find us on our FB Page www.facebook.com/Goodforthegame

Onto this week and we have 2 big European finals, Super Rugby and Currie Cup

Here are my Super Rugby handicaps - very much a gut feel and I have not taken possible team selections due to needing or not needing results on last week into account

Moana Pasifika -5.5 v Force (Tuesday game)
Crusaders -14.5 vReds
Drua +21.5 v Chiefs
Moana Pasifika +12.5 v Brumbies (Tuesdays result could influence)
Waratahs +6.5 v Blues
Force +15.5 v Hurricanes
Rebels +6.5 v Highlanders

The Currie Cup continues - I have learnt the hard way to keep an eye on team news here as well

Bulls -12.5 v Pumas (assuming strong Bulls CC team, they may load URC for prep purposes)
Griquas +9.5 v Cheetahs
Lions +6.5 v WP (this would change if Lions selected URC players, WP might also load a bit though)

Leinster are -9.5 against La Rochelle in the Champions Cup and Lyon +5.5 v Toulon in the Challenge Cup

La Rochelle +11.5 and smalls on La Rochelle 1-12 at 3.5/1.

Finals rugby in France. Leinster a quality outfit but LR present a huge banana peel.

In SR:

Force board at 8/10

Crusaders -17.5

Blues -2.5 (I know they will rotate but fancy them to edge the Tahs)

A non loadshedding power failure means this is a very late call but small interest Moana win

I missed the opening lines but here is how the current caps compare to mine

Moana Pasifika -5.5 (+2.5) v Force (Tuesday game)
Crusaders -14.5 (-18.5) vReds
Drua +21.5 (+15.5) v Chiefs
Moana Pasifika +12.5 v Brumbies (Tuesdays result could influence)
Waratahs +6.5 (+2.5) v Blues
Force +15.5 v Hurricanes
Rebels +6.5 (+6.5)v Highlanders

Some big differences but not rushing in as am struggling with SRP

Over 54.5 @ 9/10 moavfor

Expecting/hoping both teams to be poor on defence.

Great call the Overs South

Here are the early WSB CC caps in brackets

Bulls -12.5 (-15.5) v Pumas (assuming strong Bulls CC team, they may load URC for prep purposes)
Griquas +9.5 (+10.5) v Cheetahs
Lions +6.5 (-7.5) v WP (this would change if Lions selected URC players, WP might also load a bit though)

Big difference on Lions game and this is likely because bookies are expecting a URC strength Lions side

Challenge Cup Final.

Going Toulon -5,5 17/20

Game is being played in Marseille, Colbe and Eztzebeth both start so that brings some big BMT to their side.
Toulon have lost their last few challenge cup finals so they know what finals rugby is all about.
They have good form coming into the match and beat a very strong Sarries side in the semis.

I think they will cover that cap.

Everything is going to be OK ;)

just watched game on catch-up, geez the Saders were wasteful, that dropped pass when thru by Jordan followed my Matera yellow 2 min later was a bet killer of note.

Better games tomorrow hopefully.

One of the most pedestrian performances I've ever seen by both sides.

If I could I would take the 11/10 EP to beat the Griffons at WSB

Went over 42.5 points in this challenge cup final.
2 missed penalties, try chalked off for the winger diving with his legs spread like a spatchcock chicken and touching the dead ball line.

Like seriously- wtf

Quite shocked to still see Jeremy Thrush with try scorer odds of @7.5 ;)
Had a try disallowed in Tuesday's game and scored a try in all 3 of the games prior to that.
Going out with a bang in his final season.
Locks get no respect

London 7's

Ireland mens team made their first ever final last week and impressed the whole tournament. They are in a tough pool with Argentina and SA and will want to start off with a strong performance. Kenya have looked an absolute shadow of their former selves having only won 1 game in the last 9 games and that was against lowly wales. This cap looks very wrong!

Ireland -11.5

Samoa vs Spain

Spain lost only to Fiji so far, and fared quite well in a respectable defeat 19-29.
IN their other two matches they beat comfortably USA 26-10 and Wales 42-17.

Samoa lost to Fiji last week 28-7, and this week they beat England and Scotland in tight matches.

I think Spain can stay close here.

Bet: Spain +10.5 @1.89
