While enjoying the Currie Cup it is great to have Rugby Championships back this weekend - these are current handicaps at WSB
Australia +8.5 v SA
New Zealand -15.5 v Argentina
We are into week 6 of the Currie Cup - here are my projected handicaps
Lions -5.5 v Pumas - a tough one, Lions hammered them when underdogs in Nelspruit but Pumas have impressed since while Lions haven't reproduced that level
Bulls -55.5 v Griffons - I guess Bulls might rest but in Pretoria should hammer the Griffons
WP +4.5 v Cheetahs - WP looked so poor against Griffons
Sharks -13.5 v Griquas - Sharks inconsistency means I am guessing here

I just read squads this morning and Harbour welcome back a couple of experience players while Hawkes Bay have plenty of injuries for the start of the season. For me Harbour should be favourites at home.

Aus +4.5 HT @ evens
Aus will come out of the blocks firing - Boks to employ slow poison tactics
NZ -8.5 HT @ evens
NZ TT over 34.5
40+ hours of travel to get to NZ for the Argies, and I think Razor and his boys cut loose to open their RC in some style - Air Jordan is BACK!
Also... NPC is back baby!!!

Lions -5.5 (-7.5) v Pumas
Bulls -55.5 (-36.5) v Griffons - 19 points out, there may be Bulls team news I am not aware of but am taking some -36.5
WP +4.5 (+4.5) v Cheetahs
Sharks -13.5 (-5.5) v Griquas - I think Sharks minus the play here
Taking the double -36.5 Bulls onto Sharks -5.5

First post here but have been following for a good while. Some very tunes in contributors here.
I thought I would post before the stat of my favorite competition the NPC (only betting wise). I always find it a bit tricky on the first week of any competition but have a couple of small bets so far.
Tasman -6 : This line surprised me a little bit , I know Tasman will be missing a couple to international duty and they are away to Manawatu but I don't see anything apparent that the Turbos can offer to stay within a Try. If anyone can see that I am missing something let me know, Manawatu always capable of an upset.
North Harbor +4 : Similar to Pablo's comments I would probably have made this a 50/50 game. It seems that there have been some important departures for Hawkes bay. Again both are relatively small bets.
Other lean is Waikato -4. I would ordinarily be interested in a Southland plus at home but its hard to gauge that one really.
I will have to look at the weather for NZ closer to the time and see how points lines come out also
I take it Mossman might have some opinions on the NPC?

Agree with you about Tasman, for me this line should be at least two digit handicap for Tasman. Manawatu squad is nothing special, but if weather allows may be a big score in this match so overs is the bet for me.
Southland caught my eye as well but Otago looks like they have a nice squad this season

Factors for me:
Day game, quite rare, always better for pts vs under lights/dew factor at Brisbane.
Luke Pearce - great overs ref, lets it flow, speeds it up, 54 pts in night game on gold coast last time ref of this fixture.
weather - expected dry/sunny.

I will be adding a few more bets to this one but for now I like Mondo's Aus to win the Race to 10 points with 16/10 the best I could find

Does anyone know of a decent site or app for rainfall radars that would cover NZ? I find the usual weather apps to be unreliable.

Agree and Following with the overs Southpaw:)
Like my bet builders for some of the big games so throwing the overs in with Arendse anytime scorer and Boks -12.5 @ 7/1.
First big test for Joe Schmidt but that Boks bench looks stacked vs Oz bench so could see scoreboard getting away from Aus.
2 Smaller stakes on:
Snyman try @ 6/1
Marx last try @ 11/1
Happy punting

If it wasn’t for international rugby games I’d be a rich man. 2 losses this morning to take the gloss off the olympics marathon result.
Blindly following on the overs in joburg.

What a disgusting joke North Harbour. I know its betting but how can you end 32-41 when your are 32-17 with less than 15 minutes to go ...

Was chasing a bit after Rugby Champs but that Bulls over 8.5 tries arriving was the swinger
Still amazed Sharks opened -5.5 but couldn't watch so didn't go as big as I was planning on that one

I think it's brilliant how well some guys did on the Olympics. I like to bet only on those sports/markets that I am comfortable with ie I decide all my own bets. My Olympics was so bad that I eventually gave up and took a run on the Norman 400m pick - which tanked. If we have a transfer of cash system would I get a refund from the kitty for picking the only losing bet on the boards?

Vann, please let us know early this weekend what you are on, so we can back the opposite.... It's crazy how we can go on these losing runs. Hopefully things change for the better soon mate.
