Many thanks mate, the wife and our eldest girl went along and had an aboslute ball by the sound of it, super proud of Royal and his yard. He is on horsey holidays right now and the plan is to aim for the Summer Cup again at the end of November

Don't want to jinx it but think we race on Saturday at Durbanville, going to be tricky with horses likely missing plenty of work but will have a look at the card and post anything I like later this morning, Gallop saying track condition is good right now which surprised me a bit.

Saturday Durbanville


R1 Fleur de Ville at 11/1 probably more places than wins, appeals on price to me
R2 Tricky, Captain West a tentative form pick, 1st timer On My Honour might be worth an interest today or following in future
R3 Commander Green value at around 10/1, decent debut looked to be getting the hang of it late on, stable comments expecting to be in the money
R5 GK runners worth keeping on side at this track and will side with Holding Thunbs to follow up
R6 Otto Luyken have been waiting for this one but shortish price today takes the gloss off. Looks to be coming to hand.
R7 Maybe King Pelles, race fit
R8 Try Me looks nicely priced at 10/1 some favourable weight turnarounds from previous runs
R10 Blue Holly at around 13/2 C&D form

Thanks Mackem, great thoughts. Nice to see some Cape Racing and not sure if good or bad for you, but a couple we like the same.

Race 1
Bitter Sweet @ 16/1(WSB)
Nicely bred and some siblings showed early pace. Well drawn and Trainer / Jock Combo, last season popped up.
Love Love Love @ 50/1
Second run, always find stable horses improve, again more weighted to places.

Race 2
Mr Fox @ 20/1 (HWB)
Siblings all showed early pace, Rock the Fox (Full Sibling) ran close over sprint and showed herself to be above average. Half Sibling also showed decent early pace.

Race 3
Givethatmanabells @ 16/1
I remember the Muscatt stable raving about this one, and had a couple of decent runs early on, especially decent run behind The Grey King.
Also like your s Mackem, so will take swingers and float in Quartet.

Race 4
Genteel @ 40/1
Not sure why, but like the breeding on this, and looking for this trip I believe at least on breeding. And if I remember Sire was from Germany so might like a bit of cut out of the ground

Race 7
Alladin's Lamp @ 13/2
Think looking for this trip and might be progressive for season ahead.

Race 9
Paratrooper @ 12/1 (WSB)
Old fav of mine and owes me a bit. Well drawn and any sort of retrun to early form, might go close.

Race 10
Blue Holly like you Mackem.

nice thoughts lads.

One early one for me - R2 Dalmeny Factor @ 25/1 ew. Formline looks solid from one run as Rafa Bay ran a good 2nd to a talented sort next time out.
