Looking ahead, Fairview (poly) on Tuesday, Scottsville on Wednesday and Turffontein on Thursday. Friday is a double header, Fairview and Greyville, Saturday is the last of the features in the Turffontein season and on Sunday Champions season in KZN really starts to kick in at Scottsville.

Kenilworth Monday:

Race 2 New World 9/2, 3 of the top 4 in the betting took each other on at Durbanville last time out and not much between them but looked at the replay again and New World was very unlucky in running and slightly better drawn today, 9/2 current price

Race 3 1st Timers to consider but will go with Duchess of Paloma, at 7/1, 3rd run back from a break and seemed to be getting the hang of it last 2 starts or so, they reached for the blinkers today as well.

Race 5 Dricus 5/1, only 3rd run and 2nd as a gelding, up in trip, like to follow this yard when they go over ground.

Race 8 Not my sort of price at 24/10 but if reports of a significant head wind are correct then that would suit All Out for Six

Race 9 Maritzburg Memory 10/1, looks to have plenty to do here but I liked some of her early runs she then seemed to go off the boil, Veale knows her well and hinted at a turn in fortunes last time.

Race 10 Street Outlaw 11/1, MR only went up 2 points for a decent win last time and appy takes 4kg off today. Also seems low draws are favoured up the straight so No 1 gate could be a plus

Turffontein Saturday Race 9, like this roughie, Qhawe Lami, each way at 25/1, excuses on comeback run, coughing, but still ran ok. Prior to that was running in stronger races, albeit a while back. Gate 15 a plus and if handling a bit of cut in the ground could be involved.

Prefer Sunday's Scottsville card so will leave it there for today

Forgot this one, R11 Turffontein Sakhala Is`cathulo, same yard as my roughie in above post, Strydom up, again drawn high, has won in wet, 8/1 shot at time of writing

I never got in a blow on Saturday, poor effort.

Sunday, Loads of scratchings and jockey changes at Turffontein but Loius Mxothwa riding up there and could be in for a good day. I like Golden Alexia at 4/1 in R4, experience might count there.

R7 Manz Knight, 6/1 decent enough effort last time back from a break, yard hit the post here yesterday and seem to be coming to hand.

Over to Scottsville, R4 big fan of Teflon Man and having already run in KZN since making the trip from WCP he stands out to me at around 4/1 right now

R6 I usually shy away from horses having their first run in the province but think Millitary Command is the day's banker on Cape form.

R8 King of Spin 6/1, crappy draw but ran a close second from an equally poor draw in a pretty similar race last time out,
