Mads Pederson is the fav for Stage 1 and the points classification. Roglic tops the boards for the GC, Steinhauser for KoM, Ayuso for young rider and UAE for the team comp.
All thoughts welcome, will stick to this one thread for outrights and individual stages

Roglic has confirmed his top priority this year is the TdF. Martinez is a former Colombian ITT winner so the two ITT's won't scare him and he did finish second here last year. I think Bora will want to keep him in-play as long as possible. Taking the team double on the basis that both teams have had a fast start to this season.
Top 10
DF Martinez @ 9/4
Team H2H double
Ineos/Bahrain - Astana/EF Education @ 3/1

A long term for me is Gaudu/Pidcock @ 14/10.
And will follow with Martinez.

Going for Mads but taking a little bite on Diego in case the second time up the Surrel takes out a bunch of the sprinters.

Got Mads yesterday but the two outrights did not fare very well. Early days though.
13.7 km ITT today with bump in the middle. Not sure how difficult the climb is so may try an in-play bet.
1-3
McNulty @ 7/2
Match bet double

Flat sprint. Kooi definitely the fastest but 14/10 not for me.
Just a few beers for the watch today on

Was not on my radar so can't remember the price. Did see him sprint in Tour of Turkey a few weeks ago but he was beaten quite easily by the geriatrics Viviani and Kristoff. The team did provide a perfect leadout so worth keeping in mind in this field.

Agree Brent. Stage designed for Pedersen but the 12/10 offers no attraction. Think the finish is too difficult for Zijlaard so Tudor may go with Pluimers. He did finish close on the heels of Pidcock and Vendrame at Tirreno two months ago.

Not sure who fell yesterday or how they feel today. Roglic did lose Hindley which is a huge blow.
Finish up a climb today. Nothing serious - 12km at 5.5% . Taking Roglic for GC finish and three break darts.

Formolo @ 80/1
BS Rivera @ 249/1

Probably going tobe my luck that its a break with the smaller teams contesting it but hoping for some fun.
Wout Poels at 25/1 - Can't do serious mountains anymore but this should be in his wheelhouse.
Vacek at 28/1 - Great legs atm and deserves to have a go for himself
Jeffersen (Alveiro) Cepeda - possible break option at 125/1

Gravel sections today but is there enough to thin out the peloton as in Strada?. Truly hope so because the finish is not designed for a bunch sprint.
Agree with Brent on Pidcock. I have taken enough on him to cover my seven darts which are

GIRO Stage 13
Would normally scream break away but the finish is good for Ciccone which means the break will be ridden down by Mads and Vacek. On the basis that Mads will ride for Ciccone I have taken the H2H with Wout.

I will follow with that one. For some reason I like Primroz today, so have taken him to win @ 14/1
And him over Del Toro @ 7/4
Also thrown in Simon Yates to win as a dart. for 300/1

Looks pretty much like a break to me with the big stages looming next week. Takes out the match bets because GC would ride in. Break darts are
Poels @ 18/1
Frigo @ 28/1
Formolo @ 80/1
Svestad-Bardseng @ 124/1
Aular @ 599/1

Would normally be a locked in GC day but the bad weather may make the GC guys a little cautious so taking Poels just in case. Main bet of day is the match bet
Win
Carapaz @ 11/2
Poels @ 18/1

A couple of break possibles. Taking the Yates/Storer double at beer level. Finish is flat hence a small bet.

I think break has a good chance because UAE a bit depleted and will want to keep men back and EF dont have the depth to control
3 picks
Quintana at 28/1
Pidcock 50/1 (only guy I have backed so far and can't leave him out although I think true odds closer to 150/1)
Cepeda 149/1

Plenty of climbing but, once again, poor finish from a punting point of view. Easiest climb is the last one and a 4km downhill finish. Probably a GC finish but will throw in Bardet as he has just two chances left at completing his Grand Tour wins set.
Win
Pellizzati @ 5/1
Bardet @ 22/1
Match bet
Bernal/Rubio @ 14/10
Finally giving up on Poels. He wins today I breaka his legs

GIRO Stage 20
The finish is a Cat 3 at 5%. Yesterday Carapaz and Del Toro road away from the other contenders on a similar gradient. Del Toro looks slightly tired but I remember UAE having another youngster who looked exhausted but came out on a Grand Tour Stage 20 the next day and creamed the top riders in the world - Pogs at the TdF. No reason why UAE cannot do it again.
Win
Del Toro @ 3/1
Bardet @ 33/1
Match bet double
Bardet/Quintana - Meintjies/Verona @ 12/10

What a stage that was, one of the best I have seen and a tactical masterclass from JV
Really happy for Yates

Still a firm believer that the Giro is the best. The Yates win just so perfect it will be a tear-jerker on Netflex in the not too distant future. Won on the same climb he lost it on.
From a punting perspective - I virtually never take a place on any team/individual without a beer on the win - NO BEER ON THE YATES WIN
Even us oldies can still stuff up
