On Bulls +17.5 at evens, taking smalls to hedge due to the #10PointHomeRule

Chiefs +4.5 the call
Can Bulls keep this up for another 40?

Bulls really impressive 1st half but no composure 2nd, however that disallowed try was a poor call and they can feel a bit unlucky on that.

Enjoyable game to watch.

Have to disagree there, the Bulls player knew what he was doing and even waved him through the gap he was creating

disagree, Retallick was never going to get to Gellant, no chance. Watch it again. But another example of referees reffing what's on paper and not in front of them. Same as card at end - should have been red, but rulebook says to allow for mitigation like slipping/player already going to ground. So ref follows that, whereas ever person could see that was a swinging arm, late to the head with intent, should have been red.

Great day's rugby tomorrow, have taken following, mix of early week punts and today:

Sharks win 10/11
Blues win 10/11
Highlanders win @ 10/11

also added above at shorter odds with Jaguares win - acca @ 6/1

Looking at fixed odds points when more markets open up.

Happy enough with 2 tries for Rossouw though would have preferred them to come after the break rather than before! Have had a look at tonight's Superleague games and arrived at the following bets.

Leeds +10.5 at 5/6 with Spreadex. I agree with Racing Post preview that Leeds should be capable of staying within a double digit start.

Buy Hull hotshots at 48 with Spreadex (Shaul, Tuimavave, Talanoa, Connor). SPIN are 53 for the same quartet and I feel there's value in paying less than 2 tries for those 4 players against a Salford team they should beat fairly comfortably.

In the same game, Evalds to score a try at 9/4 with Skybet and (with any spare change) to score the 1st try at 18/1. I'm inclined to agree with the rest of the market that he's no more than a 2/1 shot to score a try. 1st price may be pushed out a bit far as well.

Backing Cardiff -10 in their Pro 14 game tonight vs Benetton.

I like the team they have picked which includes the returning Halaholo and no less than 6 internationals on the bench.

Might also have a small play on overs, the line being 42.5.
The last 3 times these teams have played there's been in excess of 60 points.

Weather here in Cardiff has been fine and dry all day but I see there are light showers forecast. (Although it's a 4G pitch so only somewhat relevant)

If you ever needed an illustration of just how important your scrum half is, particularly in an attacking sense - Cardiff in the 2nd half gave a perfect example.

Pretty frustrating game although points bolted in.

Onwards and upwards.

Pretty happy with the Highlanders win @ 2.2 and also +2 placed earlier this week, particularly as Whitelock now out for Crusaders.

Ploughed through three NRL games and thought it was going to be a "no bet" scenario but found one.

Storm v Tigers: Croft to score a try at 4 on BF

Was going to take the 12/5 or 9/4 on offer with a few firms so surprised to get that much more on the exchange. Unless someone knows something I don't, that's a decent value bet.

One bet in the (for me) early Super Rugby games.

Brumbies v Sharks: Mapimpi to score a try at 2/1 with 365

Either side of evens with other firms, definitely too big for me at 7/4 or better.

Taken Crusaders 1-12 as my main bet and 1-7 either way as a cover bet (small units mind you).
Yeah they are down on troops but the Crusaders still have plenty of fire power and i very much doubt they will get sucked into wide running game like last week...they should play a forwards game and try and control the tempo - line out maul and scrum type game...they seldom play two bad games in a row and will be filthy with themselves after last week. To be fair it could go either way.
I like the Sharks 1-12, Blues head 2 head, Lions on the minus, Reds and Rebels head to head.
Good luck people!!

That was awful rugby but I don't think the Sharks can play worse and the Brumbies looked horrific on attack. I like a couple of the guys on the Sharks bench especially seeing Jean Luc back and think he'll be introduced very early if not at halftime. Sharks +6.5 for me and a little bit on Sharks win and under 34.5 points @7.25/1. Just think that's value as oppose to the Sharks win @2/1, there's no ways the Sharks can win this if the Brumbies score more than 17 points in my opinion. Already kicking myself for not going unders, it has been the bet every time two bad teams play

as a Sharks fan it pains me to watch this but have to agree with hanrick, i too have badly over-estimated them this season and they have zero gameplan right now. Missing du Preez twins badly and need to get ball to Esterhuizen this 2nd half, hardly been mentioned and was strong last few games.
