World Athletics Champs 2025

Been following first few days and quite a few upsets on the track already. Looking at the 100m final, how Noah Lyles looked/ran, i think he's worth taking on in 200m, he's short odds-on so there is some value - 

Kenny Bednarek @ 7/1. 

Yes Lyles beat him in 200 recently but had it not been for a slow start KB should have been on podium in 100 on weekend. I'm expecting him to bounce back in his preferred 200 event, he has been looking ready for an elusive big win. Tebogo i feel is not quite at peak and although he gave me a big win in Olympics 200 final las year, i prefer Bednarek this time around.

Mens 400 for south african interest, Zakithi Nene a 14/1 shot as massive favourite in Patterson 1/10, not sure worth a bet so will just watch to see how Nene goes.

Another event where there could be some value is the men's 4 by 100m. SA had two runners in the 100m final so the 26/1 looks very long. 

yes nice price vann, i just tend to avoid relays as too high risk someone drops the baton.

200m mens heats today and wow, what a run by bryan levell, he could be someone to break bolts 200 record, eased down 50m out and still had fastest time of heats. he's gone to favourite, lyle i wasn't impressed with. bednarek cruised but will be hard to beat levell.
