BettingDiaryRugby World Cup action takes a back seat on Tuesday, but there is plenty for punters to get involved in with the UEFA Champions League as well as local football. We take a look at the highlights in our daily Betting Diary.

SOCCER

Groups A through D are in action in the Champions League and in Group A, PSG will be looking to build on their strong start away at Galatasaray where they are 3/10 favourites.

Real Madrid, well beaten by PSG in the opener will have a chance to get on the board at home to Club Brugge and they are 3/10 to win that one.

The clash of the night looks to be in Group B where Tottenham are at home to Bayern Munich. Tottenham drew their opener at Olympiacos and Bayern Munich were too strong for FK Crvena Zvezda winning 3-0 at home. Tottenham tasted victory in the English Premier League on the weekend, but overall they have yet to convince us that they are back to last season’s best and the draw looks a lively runner here at 11/4.

In Group C Manchester City and Dinamo Zagreb both took maximum points from their openers. City are at home in the clash between the pair and are 1/12 to win the game with Zagreb on offer at a massive 26/1.

The more competitive match in the group looks to be Atalanta against Shakhtar Donetsk with Atalanta 8/10, the draw 59/20 and Shakhtar 13/4.

Juventus are at home to Leverkusen in Group D and they are 11/20 to win that one and the other match in the group sees Atletico Madrid, who drew with Juventus in their opener, away to Lokomotiv Moscow who currently top the group. Here though it is the away team who are the favourites at 13/20 with Moscow on offer at 5/1.

There are three PSL matches taking place on Tuesday and the pick of the night’s fixtures looks to be Kaizer Chiefs at home to Golden Arrows. Chiefs are currently top of the table on 16 points from 7 matches and they face an Arrows side that has drawn 4 consecutive matches and is placed 7th on the table, 6 points behind Chiefs.

The last 3 fixtures hosted by Chiefs head-to-head against Arrows have finished in draws and we expect it to be once again a big runner at odds of 2/1, Chiefs are 11/10 and Arrows are 29/10 for the win.

In the Caribbean Premier League the Knight Riders take on the Warriors and it looks an even betting heat with the Knight Riders 17/20 and the Warriors 19/20. There are a host of Exotic Markets on the match which gets going the early hours of Tuesday morning, South Africa time.

HORSERACING

Local horse racing takes place at The Vaal on Tuesday with the first race off at 12:10 and the 8th and final race scheduled to go off at 16:25.

Michali looks hard to beat in Race 2 and is priced at even money, but our value bet on the card comes in Race 4 where we fancy the veteran, 8 year old, Hidden Agenda at a current price 5/1 a win and even money a Top 3 finish.
