BettingDiaryIt is win at all costs for the Springboks when they meet Italy in the Rugby World Cup on Friday and we take a look at this game and other sporting highlights in our Daily Betting Diary.

RUGBY WORLD CUP

South Africa may be 9/2 third favourites to win the Rugby World Cup click here for Outright Betting, but there is definitely some tension amongst fans as this game against Italy approaches.

Boks are strong favourites at 1/33 to win the match with the draw 70/1 and Italy 22/1, but there has been money for Italy on the handicap, shortening from (+28.5) yesterday to the current (+26.5) and it does seem as if the Bok camp going from bad news story to bad news story with the unfortunate injury to Jesse Kriel and the Eben Etzebeth saga.

A popular market in matches like these is the first try scorer betting and here we have Cheslin Kolbe and Makazole Mapimpi both at 6/1 with Bongi Mbonambi priced at 11/1. Mbonambi scored first last week against Namibia and we wouldn’t be surprised to see South Africa going for an early driving maul and the hooker standing up with ball in hand over the try line.

There are plenty of markets to bet on in this match and you can click here for our Preview of the Springboks v Italy game and if you want to go straight to the betting on the match click here.

South Africa have their backs to the wall in their 1st Test against India and their only hope now is the draw which is priced at 7/2 although the home team are very firm favourites at 2/9.
