International Cricket, the Tour de France and the FINA Water Polo semi-finals are among the Sporting highlights for punters to get involved in on Wednesday. We take a look at these and other options in our Daily Diary.
CRICKET, ENGLAND V IRELAND
England make a return to International action for the first time since being crowned World ODI Champions and they look to have a relatively straight forward test match against Ireland at Lords.
The betting is not surprisingly very one sided with England 1/10, Ireland 28/1 and the draw 9/1. Fortunately in one sided betting heats like this there are Exotic Markets and we like Root to be Top Home Batsman at 5/2.

TOUR DE FRANCE
The Tour de France continues on Wednesday with Stage 17, a tough 200 kilometres slog. Temperatures are expected to hit the late 30’s and after a relatively flat start the riders do plenty of gradual climbing and 15 kilometres from the end there is a Cat 3 climb which should ensure none of the sprinters are there at the end. The exception of course is Peter Sagan who is favourite for the stage, but this really does look like a tough stage to pick a winner.
There is no significant change to the Outright Betting with Thibaut Pinot coming in slightly from 17/10 to 14/10 and Geraint Thomas drifting from 3/1 to 33/10.

HORSE RACING
Local Horse Racing takes place at Scottsville on Wednesday with race 1 off at 12h10 and the 9th and final race scheduled for 16h25.
The 8th race at Scottsville has a wide open look to it and we like the chances of the Brett Crawford trained Dream Dancer at 10/1.

FINA WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS
The South African ladies finished the highest ever position of 14th and have now headed home, but the tournament continues with the semi-finals taking place on Wednesday.
The USA are 1/12 favourites to see off Australia who are 11/1 and the goal handicap is USA (-4.5) and in the second semi-final, Spain are 3/10 to beat Hungary who are priced at 15/4. The handicap in this game is Spain (-2.5) and you can also get Total Goals Markets in both matches.

TENNIS
The ATP Hamburg continues on Wednesday and one of the more competitive betting match ups looks to be Jeremy Chardy against Richard Gasquet with Chardy 8/10 and Gasquet 1/1. Dominic Thiem is also in action and he is firmly fancied to see off Fucsovics at 2/11 with his opponent 7/2.

There has been very little betting movement in the Rugby Championship matches with South Africa still (+10.5) against New Zealand, but Argentina have been clipped from (+6.5) yesterday to (+5.5) against Australia away.
