BettingDiaryTuesday is a relatively quiet day by recent sporting standards, but we take a look at some of the betting opportunities for punters and also cast an eye ahead to some events taking place later in the week.

NETBALL WORLD CUP

The Netball World Cup continues on Tuesday and based on what we have seen on social media the coverage of this Tournament is really attracting new fans.  As many of you would know having a bet on the outcome makes it even more exciting and the good news for sports betters is that we have match odds, handicap odds and also total goals lines on each match.

HORSE RACING

Horse Racing on Tuesday comes from Durbanville and the first race gets going at 13h10 with the 8th and final race scheduled to go off at 17h25.  Race 3 takes place over 2400 metres and here we have an odds on favourite in Deposition trained by Vaughn Marshall and we believe the 3 year old currently priced at 9/10 could rate a Pick 6 banker.

AFCON 2019

There is no AFCON taking place on Tuesday, but we can look ahead to Wednesday’s third place playoff between Tunisia and Nigeria.  Tunisia are 2/1 with Nigeria 31/20 and the draw priced at 41/20.  This has been a low scoring Tournament, but perhaps being a third place playoff the teams will drop their guard and the 27/20 over 2.5 goals looks worth an interest.

The final takes place on Friday and here we have Senegal 7/4, the draw at 37/20 and Algeria 37/20. More on that later in the week.

THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

The Open Championship gets going on Thursday and you can click here to see the latest outright betting where Rory Mcilroy is a 17/2 favourite.

For today’s Diary piece we are going to focus on the top South African market which sees Louis Oosthuizen trading at 5/2 ahead of Erik van Rooyen 9/2, Branden Grace 13/2 and Dylan Frittelli, off his success in the US, at 7/1.  You can get 10/1 and better the balance.

Erik van Rooyen faded out disappointingly in the final round at the Scottish Open last week, but he has been in good form and we think that against his fellow South Africans he represents the value at 9/2.

THE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Rugby Championship gets going this weekend and South Africa are -6.5 against Australia in their opener and the All Blacks face a potentially tricky trip to Argentina, but are -13.5 points favourites at this point.
