WSB150The best way to forget about the Proteas dismal display in their opening World Cup game is to have a few bets and there is loads of sport to enjoy on Friday.

SUPER RUGBY

There are 2 Super Rugby games on Friday morning starting with the Blues against the Bulls in Auckland.  There has been consistent money for the Blues throughout the week and early (- 6.5) points is gone with the current handicap sitting at Blues (-9.5).  Both of these teams are desperate for victory to stay in the playoff race and while the Blues are not a side you can have too much confidence in, I do think they will beat the Bulls by a double figure margin and my bet for the game is Blues (-9.5) at 9/10 – click here to bet

The second fixture of the morning sees the Rebels up against the Waratahs and this Australian Derby is also crucial with both teams still in contention for the Australian Conference.  The Rebels had been on something of a wobbly run, but put that behind them with a convincing win over the Sunwolves in Tokyo last week, while the Waratahs are coming off a home defeat to the Jaguares.  Head to Head matches hosted by the Rebels have tended to be close over the years and I am expecting another one and will look at the winning margin here Rebels under 12.5 points at 17/10 –click here to bet

TENNIS FRENCH OPEN

Rafael Nadal will look to continue his quest for yet another French Open Title and he is 1/33 to see off his opponent, David Goffin.  We are still at that stage of the Tournament where most of the encounters are very one sided from a betting angle and while you can get involved in the exotic markets like total games and number of sets my suggestion is to take 3 or 4 of the favourites put them together in a multiple sit back, watch and enjoy – click here to bet on the French Open Tennis

WORLD CUP CRICKET

The World Cup Cricket continues with Pakistan playing against the West Indies today and bookmakers cannot separate them and are trading at 10/11 the pair.  Both of these sides are very unpredictable and picking a winner here does look like a virtual coin toss in my opinion.  Both of these sides are loaded with big hitters and here is where my money is going as I fancy over 14.5 total match 6’s at 8/10 – click here to bet on the match and click here for more World Cup Markets

GIRO D’ITALIA CYCLING

Stage 19 of the Giro is one of the last chances for the chasing pack to eat into the lead of Richard Carapaz. It is not the toughest looking of stages though and the break must stand a good chance. A couple of nicely priced selections that can hopefully keep us interested are Ivan Sosa at 22/1 and Lucas Hamilton at 33/1. Both men would have to infiltrate the break to win. Click here to bet on the Giro

HORSE RACING

There is top quality horse racing in the UK and the Investec Oaks promises to be an exciting race with Pink Dogwood the current favourite at 2/1.  There is also local racing in Fairview and you can click here to access all the horse racing odds around the world.

It promises to be a jam packed Friday and for in running punters there is also the European and PGA Tour Golf and while top level football has taken a bit of a back seat, the FIFA Under 20 World Cup is in action and South Africa play Portugal on Friday night at 8.30 pm. As the betting suggests they are huge underdogs at 33/2 with the Portuguese 2/13 to win the match.  If you are looking for a bet on this one, perhaps consider something in the goals market where over 3.5 goals is trading at 13/10 – click here to bet on South Africa v Portugal.

Have a great Friday and look out for our weekend betting diary.
