BettingDiaryA round up of the betting for the major sporting events taking place on Tuesday 11th June including Cricket World Cup, Euro 2020 Qualifiers and Women’s World Cup football.

Cricket World Cup

Tuesday’s Cricket World Cup action sees Bangladesh clash with Sri Lanka in Bristol. Sri Lanka have 1 win, 1 defeat and 1 no result against their name whilst Bangladesh, who have met some powerful sides, have 1 win and 2 defeats from their first 3 matches. Bangladesh have been the more impressive of these teams so far although with plenty riding on this game they still look short enough in the match result betting at 7/10. Sri Lanka can currently be backed at 12/10 and we have a full match preview available on this link

Football

Qualifying for Euro 2020 continues and 7 games will be televised live. Some big guns are involved including Belgium, who host Scotland, Germany who are at home to Estonia and France who are away to minnows Andorra. You have to stretch the imagination to see any of those favourites beaten even though France did fluff their lines when going down in Turkey last week.

Belgium have 100% record 3 games into their qualifying campaign having beaten Russia 3-1 at home, Cyprus 2-0 on their travels and most recently they were 3-0 winners at home to Kazakhstan. Scotland were 2-1 winners at home to Cyprus last week and they have 6 points from 3 matches. The Scots lost a home friendly to Belgium 4-0 in 2018 and Belgium can currently be backed 8/10 to find the net at least 3 times in this qualifier.

The Women’s World Cup group stage continues in France and there are 3 short priced favourites on the coupon; the Netherlands are around 3/10 to beat New Zealand in Group E and in Group F Sweden are 1/8 to beat Chile and the much fancied USA side are overwhelming favourites against Thailand.

Over the weekend Stuart Baxter named his Bafana squad for the AFCON finals and if you fancy a patriotic punt then 33/1 are the current odds of reward for South Africa to win the tournament. Bafana have been drawn in Group D where they have Ivory Coast, Morocco and Namibia for company and we are 4/1 to top that quartet. The AFCON finals get underway in Egypt on 21st June.

Super Rugby

We are heading into the final round of the regular season and whilst a nervous weekend awaits a number of terms in and around the fringes of the play off places, the Crusaders have sealed top spot and the Hurricanes, Jaguares and Brumbies will also have home advantage in the quarter finals.

In the outright betting the Saders are 13/20 to win the tournament with the Hurricanes next best at 4/1. Jaguares can currently be backed at 9/1, the Brumbies 12/1 and you can get 33/1 and upwards about the rest.

Horse Racing

Local horse racing sees a 9 race card staged at the Vaal which gets underway at 12:00.

Cycling

Stage 3 of the Criterium du Dauphine takes place on Tuesday and although there are four Category 4 climbs on the stage profile this looks like the best opportunity for the sprinters to claim the honours. Look out for the likes of Sam Bennett and Dimension Data’s Edvald Boasson Hagen who won Stage 1 on Sunday.

Golf:

The US Open gets underway at Pebble Beach on Thursday and we look at the tournament in more detail later in the week. IF you want to get you money down early then right now Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Rory Mcilroy are jostling for favouritism at 17/2 and Tiger Woods can be backed at 12/1.
