Football: AFCON 2019

The Super Eagles needed a pretty late goal to see off Burundi 1-0 in their opening game whilst Guinea were held to a 2-2 draw by Madagascar.

Thereafter focus switches to Group A where Zimbabwe face another tough test against a Uganda side who are full of confidence after a 2-0 win over DR Congo. Zim lost their first match 1-0 to Egypt and can be backed at 12/5 to bounce back whilst the Cranes are currently favourites at 14/10 and the draw is trading at 19/10.

Copa America is heading towards the quarter finals and although there no matches on Wednesday the latest outright winner betting sees hosts Brazil trading at even money ahead of Uruguay (17/4) and Argentina and Colombia are next best at 21/4 and it’s 37/4 and the better the rest.

The Andalucia Valderrama Masters gets underway on Thursday and Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia currently head the betting at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively whilst Matthew Fitzpatrick is third best at 10/1 and you can get 20/1 and better the rest. Garcia is host of this tournament and he won this event in 2018 and also when it returned to the calendar in 2017. Garcia was also victorious in 2011 but whilst he is the obvious horse for courses pick his form right now is poor.
