Betting Preview

Outright Winner (Includes Handicaps)

With so many rankings points on offer with the addition of a humungous prize pot, the stakes at the FedEx Tour Championship could not be higher:-

Justin Thomas – 2.50

Last week’s PGA BMW Champion Justin Thomas tore up the course at Medinah and he starts with a two shot lead going into the Tour Championship and his form makes him a heavy favourite to win this week.

Patrick Cantlay – 4.50

Another of the inform men on the tour, Patrick Cantlay looks set to make an assault on the elit of the game and how he would like to fully announce himself this week at East Lake.

Brooks Koepka – 5.00

World number one Brooks Koepka is always the main man to beat in any event he plays and with only a three shot deficit to overturn, few would bet against him creeping into contention on Sunday.

Rory McIlroy – 8.50

Such is the potential McIlroy possesses that even with a 5 shot margin to make up, he is one of the favourites for the event and if he brings his best golf, he’ll take some beating.

Jon Rahm – 14.00

Big-hitting Spaniard Jon Rahm continues to feature heavily in all the events he plays and despite trailing Justin Thomas by 6 shots overall; he looks in good enough form to challenge in Georgia.

Top American (Includes Handicaps)

With home favourites dominating the field at East Lake, there are plenty of potential winners taking to the field at the 2019 Tour Championship:-

Patrick Reed – 14.00

Northern Trust Champion Patrick Reed has displayed real consistency in 2019 and he will be looking to put the icing on the cake at the highest paid event of the season.

Tony Finau- 28.00

Despite not playing as many events as many of his compatriots, Tony Finau has firmly established himself as part of the golfing elite and he will be hoping to climb the leader board quickly this week.

Top Englishman (Includes Handicaps)

Plenty of English players have qualified for the FedEx Cup play offs and they will be looking to clinch a famous win on the PGA Tour:-

Justin Rose – 1.10Leading Englishman Justin Rose endured a tough weekend at the BMW PGA Championship last time out but he is generally a figure of

consistency across both the European and PGA Tours.

Tommy Fleetwood – 2.25

2018 Ryder Cup hero Tommy Fleetwood hasn’t produced his very best golf in recent times but he has plenty of potential and the course at East Lake should in theory be a good fit for him.

Top Rest of the World (Includes Handicaps)

The 2019 Tour Championship has a distinctly continental feel and players from all over the world will be vying for glory at East Lake:-

Hideki Matsuyama – 2.00

Japanese number one Hideki Matsuyama has been in fine form of late without getting into the winners enclosure and he will be looking to build on his showing at the BMW last time out.

Adam Scott – 2.20

Consistent Aussie Adam Scott is always one to watch in any event he plays and with a top 10 at the BMW last weekend, he could be arriving in perfect form at East Lake.
