Manchester United will be looking to catch up in the race for a top 4 finish on Saturday afternoon as they face relegation-battling Everton at Goodison Park.

Everton will certainly be under pressure going into this fixture as they battle to escape potentially their first-ever relegation. The Toffees have won just 2 of their last 11 Premier League games, the rest all being losses. Coming off a 3-2 defeat against Burnley, it is unclear of the reception they will receive at Goodison Park, but Frank Lampard’s side will need all of the home support they can scrape up given their disastrous form.
On paper, Everton do not look like a team that finds themselves on the verge of relegation and they do have attacking threat to pose problems for Manchester United`s dysfunctional defense. However, I think their own backline will be their demise against the visitor`s range of attack.
Manchester United
Just as Manchester United fans thought their season could not be ruined any further, the Red Devils` form has put a question mark against their Top 4 aspirations. Salvaging just a 1-1 draw last Saturday against Leicester, Rangnick`s sides has won just 1 of their last 4 Premier League matches. Currently sitting in 7th place, they are certainly not out of reach of next season`s Champions League campaign, but an inconsistent form and a competitive pool of Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham all fighting for a spot in the Top 4, it is hard to see Manchester United staying afloat in the race unless they manage to pull-off a crucial victory in here. They will certainly be aware of the consequences of a possible loss on Saturday and with a return of Cristiano Ronaldo up front I think the Red Devils will manage to net a few past the Toffees.
Verdict
This clash sees arguably 2 of Premier League`s most unorganized clubs go head-to-head, both battling to find some form of consistency. Although United have come up short against clubs outside of the Top 6 this season, I think Everton`s leaky defense will gift the Manchester side enough opportunities to scrape the 3 needed points.
