NRL ROUND 11 – SATURDAY & SUNDAY MATCHES

Round 10 was Magic Round and it was a case of hocus, pocus, PROFIT for us with the Eels and the Roosters doing the business. Let’ try and keep weekly profits going as a point of normality rather than the unexpected as we look to the weekend games of Round 11 in the NRL.

TITANS vs BULLDOGS – Sat 22 May @ 07:00, Gold Coast

Just as one starts to buy into the hype of the Titans they fail worse than Donal Trump does in art of diplomacy. Against the worst team in the comp (their points difference of -190 is almost 50 point worse than the next team on the naughty list) the Gold Coast side should be more gold nugget, less dirt on Saturday.

ROOSTERS vs BRONCOS – Sat 22 May @ 09:30, Sydney

Sam Walker might have kicked at goal like a drunk donkey but he is pure stallion with ball in hand. The bumbling Broncos will find themselves grasping at straws against the attacking minded Chooks in this one. The horses have lost all six their away games thus far and they will do well at sidestep a cricket score at the SCG.

RAIDERS vs STORM – Sat 22 May @ 11:35, Canberra

A date versus the struggling Bulldogs should have been a get-right meeting for the Canberra side but instead they almost went home dry as an AA meeting with the Dogs not putting out at all. This week the Raiders’ rut is bound to get worse as they face the clinical Storm who won’t be in the mood to hand out any freebies.

RABBITOHS vs PANTHERS – Sun 23 May @ 06:00, Dubbo

Souths head in-land to Dubbo to face the Panthers. At their best the Bunnies have been scoring tries at will but they have also thrown in a few close scares and moments where they haven’t been at the races. Against the greyhounds way out in front of the chasing pack the Oldest, Loudest and Proudest will certainly have to deliver a performance their fans will feel proud of. Not even an in-form Benji Marshall can save the Rabbitohs this week I reckon…

EELS vs SEA EAGLES – Sun 23 May @ 08:05, Sydney

The Sea Eagles are the type of team you would hate to face right now. Since week 4 Manly have only tasted defeat to the Panthers. Apart from their Panthers outing the Sea Eagles have notched up at least 6 tries in each of their last four matches – a team on fire at present! The Eels are everything their opponents of Sunday are not: pragmatic, conservative and steady. It should be an entertaining tussle.
