NRL ROUND 13

Round 12 treated us rather well but Round 13 offers something different. With it being time for the Origin Series the NRL will be severely impacted over the course of the next month or so. With that in mind, lets take a look at the truncated Round 13 from a betting perspective.

DRAGONS vs BRONCOS – Thu 03 Jun @ 11:50, Sydney

The Dragons continued their downward trajectory by comfortably coming up second best against the Tigers whilst the Brisbane side remain terribly unpredictable. These sides don’t lose too many to Origins duty and the hosts have the good tiding of Dufty and Ravalawa returning to their ranks. The Broncos might also have a pep in their gallop with Lodge and Glenn back but I can’t help but think the Dragons have targeted this as their bounce back match after only winning one of their last 7 games.

TIGERS vs PANTHERS – Fri 04 Jun @ 11:55, Sydney

Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, Brian To'o, Isaah Yeo, Liam Martin, Api Koroisau and Kurt Capewell are all away on Origins duty and the resurgent Tigers couldn’t have asked for a better time to meet the unbeaten table toppers. The scary thing (for all the other teams) is that Penrith still look to have a solid side ready for duty – the likes of Kikau, Crichton and Fisher-Harris would walk into any side at present in my opinion. Dylan Edwards also returns just in the nick of time and I’m still not ready to go against the mighty Panthers even if they are somewhat limping into this contest.

STORM vs TITANS – Sat 05 Jun @ 11:35, Sunshine Coast

The Titans have mixed some decent displays with a few poor efforts. Things don’t get any easier for them this week despite taking on a weakened Storm outfit and with the benefit of playing this match in Queensland. Munster and Papenhuyzen might be missing from the team sheet but in the class of Hughes, power of Nelson and young brilliance of Hynes the Melbourne side should cruise this.

KNIGHTS vs EELS – Sun 06 Jun @ 08:05, Sunshine Coast

Origin, injury and judiciary are the three devils plaguing all sides this week and the Knights lose Saifiti, Klemmer and Frizell in this regard. The Eels have a strong team at their disposal but will need to get their confidence back up and preferably get a top effort out of Mitch Moses for them to re-ignite their fire. I reckon they have every chance of achieving this.
