SUPER RUGBY AOTEAROA – 02 & 03 April

Tom Robinson came so close to delivering for us in spades but instead it was an unsuccessful weekend of Super Rugby Aotearoa. Let’s look to go a lot better this time around.

Crusaders vs Highlanders – Friday 02 Apr @ 08:05, Christchurch

The Blues and the Highlanders are teams that find themselves on the slide at present. The Chiefs and Hurricanes on the other hand are trending in the right direction. The Crusaders of course aren’t pointing anywhere or trending in a specific direction – the only level or direction they do is right at the top and that’s where they stay. To make matters worse for the visitors some of their men went walk-about and now a weakened outfit will have to steel themselves for the Crusade in Christchurch. Things could quite easily get messy for the Landers if they don’t pitch up ready to fight.

Betolimp Bets:

Cody Taylor to score 2 or more tries @ 8.00

Jona Nareki (Highlanders) to score the first try and Crusaders to win the game @ 19.00

Last Tryscorer: Whetu Douglas @ 21.00

Blues vs Hurricanes – Saturday 03 Apr @ 08:05, Auckland

With back to back losses the Blues are all of a sudden treading water. In front of their home fans they need to get back to winning ways but will find it tough going against a Canes side who followed up 40 superb minutes against the Chiefs with a more complete 80 minute showing in Dunedin. I find this one tough to call as I can see a variety of different results playing out. The value play could be to just back the Canes on the board I reckon (but don’t be the farm!). Needless to say it’s the exotics that will be where my focus is for this one.

Betolimp Bets:

Anytime Tryscorer: Tom Robinson 5.00

Got so bitterly close to delivering the last try for us last week. What I did pick up is that he roamed on the edges a lot so if he sticks to that strategy the big red has all the chance in the world of crashing over for a score.

First Tryscorer: Dane Coles 21.00

Second game back and the reasoning remains the same as last time.

Last Tryscorer: Peter Umaga-Jensen 26.00

A lively outside back who has a knack of getting over the line.
