Arsenal and Chelsea meet at Wembley for the FA Cup Final on Saturday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
ARSENAL v CHELSEA – Click here to bet
Arsenal booked their place in the final with a surprise 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the semis. Prior to that they had won 3 consecutive away matches at Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Bournemouth and they opened their campaign with a 1-0 home win over Leeds. Arsenal finished their League campaign with a 3-2 win over Watford, consigning the Hornets to relegation.
Chelsea were too strong for Manchester United in the semi-finals winning 3-1 and they have certainly had a tough run to the final having to beat Leicester 1-0 away, Liverpool 2-0 at home and in the earlier rounds they saw off Hull and Nottingham. Chelsea beat Wolves 2-0 on the last day of the English Premier League season to seal their place in the Top 4.
Looking at recent head-to-head form between the sides, they drew 2-2 at Chelsea back in January in the League and Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 away back in December of 2019.
These sides met in the Final of the FA Cup in 2017 with Arsenal winning 2-1.
Betting
Arsenal 12/5
Draw 49/20
Chelsea 23/20
Suggested Bet: Arsenal win at 12/5
I was a little bit surprised at seeing Chelsea priced up at such firm favourites because I was quite impressed with Arsenal’s play towards the end of the season, especially their semi-final win. This should be a tight match and the draw at 5/2 is certainly a runner, but I am going to go with the Gunners to get the victory inside the 90 minutes.
There are plenty of markets which you could bet on including First Goal Scorer where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently trading as the 17/4 favourite.
