WSB150It’s the start of another bumper week of sports betting with the Cricket World Cup and French Open tennis the headline events and there is still plenty of football taking place around the world.

Cricket World Cup

Monday’s Cricket World Cup action sees England take on Pakistan in Nottingham, a ground where Pakistan were shot out for just 105 by West Indies in their opening match. After starting with a comfortable win over the Proteas host nation England are not surprisingly short priced favourites to make it 2 wins from 2 and we have a full preview with tips for this match available on this link.

Football

The Fifa U20 World Cup has reached the first knockout stage and Monday’s action includes Senegal’s clash with Nigeria which will be televised live. Senegal topped their group unbeaten with 2 wins and 1 draw whilst Nigeria came through the group stage as a best third placed finisher with a record of 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat. Senegal didn’t concede a goal in their 3 group matches and they can currently be backed at 15/10 to win in regulation time. Click here to bet on Senegal v Nigeria

SUPER RUGBY

Super Rugby Round 16 ended with Jaguares in a dominant position in the South African Conference. The Argentine side have a 6 point lead at the top of that division with a home fixture against the struggling Sunwolves in Buenos Aires next week the first of their two remaining matches. Whilst our four local sides still remain in contention for a play off place it now looks inevitable that the local teams that make the cut will be heading overseas in the knockout rounds.

In the outright tournament winner betting the Crusaders remain favourites at 13/20, the Hurricanes are 7/2, the Brumbies 25/2 and Jaguares 12/1. The prices for the South African sides to win the tournament include the Sharks (25/1), Lions (30/1), Stormers (38/1) and the Bulls (57/1).

A reminder that the U20 Rugby World Championship gets under way on Tuesday and we will look at South Africa’s opening match against Scotland in more detail in tomorrow’s bulletin. All of our current rugby markets are available here
