BettingDiaryThere is Monday night English Premier League action to look forward to and we take a look at the game between Brighton and Crystal Palace and suggest a bet.

Brighton are undefeated in their last 6 matches and currently sit 16th on the table. They are coming off back-to-back draws, at home to Villa and away at Burnley. Goals have been rare in Brighton games and their last 7 matches have all delivered profits for those backing under 2.5 goals. Brighton are undefeated in their last 4 home matches, but only one of those was a victory and in fact they have only won once at home all season in 12 attempts.

Looking at Brighton home matches from a goals perspective, they have played 12 and 8 of the 12 games have had 2 goals or less in them.

Crystal Palace sit 2 places and 3 points above Brighton in 14th, but are coming off back-to-back defeats at home to Burnley and away at Leeds. They have won 4 and drawn 2 of their 12 away matches this season and in those 12 away games, 7 of the matches have reached 3 goals or more and Palace away games averaged 2.8 goals each.

These sides played to a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace earlier in the season and last season this fixture finished 1-0 to Palace who are undefeated in their last 3 games against Brighton.

Brighton 15/20

Draw 51/20

Crystal Palace 17/4

Suggested Bet: Brighton win at 15/20

I looked quite closely at the goals market here before making my decision as all indications are we will get a low scoring game. The under 2.5 goals is just a bit short to me though at 13/20 and in the end I am going to settle with Brighton who I feel are playing some good football and could be meeting Palace at just the right time with Palace suffering 2 poor defeats in their last 2 matches.

Another option for punters here is the correct score market where the Brighton 1-0 win is currently trading as favourite at 9/2.

The other result I like is 2-0 Brighton at 23/4.
