BettingDiaryManchester City and Tottenham meet at Wembley on Sunday for the final of the Carabao Cup where City will be looking to lift this Trophy for the 4th successive season.

City saw off Manchester United 2-0 in their semi-final and prior to that they beat Arsenal 4-1 in the quarters and Burnley 3-0 in the last 16. They opened their campaign with a 2-1 home win over Bournemouth. All of the other matches mentioned above took place on the road

City are going well in the League, 11 points clear of Manchester United who have a game in hand and they play a Champions League semi-final against PSG this coming week. The perfect season was ruined though when they were beaten by Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Tottenham have had a comparatively easier run to the final, beating Brentford 2-0 in the semis and Stoke 3-1 on the road in the quarters. They did have to beat Chelsea in the last 16, something which they achieved with a penalties victory and they had a walk-over in their opening round against Leyton Orient who had COVID issues.

Looking across all Competitions, City have lost 2 of their last 4 matches with a shock home defeat to Leeds in the League early in April standing out. Tottenham have, of course, parted ways with manager, Mourinho, but they bounced back from that smartly with a 2-1 League win over Southampton last week and that broke a run of 3 successive League matches without a victory.

Looking at recent head-to-head form between these sides, City beat Tottenham 3-0 at home in the League and Tottenham won 2-0 when they hosted City back in November last year.

Manchester City 5/10

Draw 34/10

Tottenham 21/4

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20

City have being leaking a few goals of late and this bet would have arrived in 4 of their last 5 matches. Tottenham also played in some high scoring affairs and both teams have found the back of the net in their last 4 games all of which would also have delivered had you been taking over 2.5 goals.

If I would have to go for a Correct Score punt here I would be looking at the upset win for Tottenham 2-1 at 18/1 and there are also plenty of other markets such as First and the Last Goal Scorer, Handicap betting and of course plenty of in-play options as well.
