BettingDiaryThe Champions League continues on Tuesday and we take a look at 3 of the games from a betting angle.

Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are now trading at 7/2 favourites ahead of Bayern Munich at 4/1, you can get PSG at 5/1 and Liverpool at 13/2, Chelsea 17/2 with Manchester United coming in at 12/1 and there is 22/1 and better available the balance.

MALMO v CHELSEA

Malmo are currently bottom of Group H with no victories and no draws in their opening 3 matches. Last time out they lost 4-0 away at Chelsea and they have conceded 11 goals and not scored yet in the Champions League group stages.

Chelsea currently sit 3 points behind leaders, Juventus and with Zenit just 3 points behind them want to make sure they chalk up a big victory here. Their only defeat this season was 1-0on the road to Juventus and they have scored 5 goals and conceded 1 in the Champions League.

Malmo 13/1

Draw 25/4

Chelsea 1/5

Suggested Bet: First Half Total Goals, 2 or more at 11/10

Malmo look totally outclassed in this tournament and I am expecting Chelsea to be all business from the opening whistle and to wrap this game up early.

BAYERN MUNICH v BENFICA

Bayern Munich are top of Group E with 9 points from their 3 matches, 5 points clear of 2nd placed Benfica. Bayern beat Benfica 4-0 on the road last time out and their last home game, or their only home game, was a 5-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev. They have scored 12 goals without conceding in the group stages to date.

Benfica will be desperate to get something out of this game as they are only a point ahead of Barcelona who play against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday night. Prior to the 4-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich, they beat Barcelona 3-0 at home and drew 0-0 on the road to Dynamo Kiev.

Bayern Munich 2/11

Draw 7/1

Benfica 25/2

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Bayern Munich (-2) at 23/20

For this bet to arrive we need Bayern Munich to win by 3 goals or more and given they were able to roll the same team 4-0 on the road, I think that anything better than even money on this bet is good value.

ATALANTA v MANCHESTER UNITED

This is a Group F clash and Manchester United currently top the group with 6 points with Atalanta sitting 2 points behind them in 3rd on goal difference behind Villarreal. These sides met in Matchday 3 and Atalanta led 2-0 on the road before Manchester United stormed back to win 3-2 in a thrilling contest. Atalanta’s only home game to date was a 1-0 win over Young Boys.

Manchester United play only their second match on the road having lost to Young Boys 2-1 in Matchday 1. Manchester United have been having a real volatile time domestically with a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool followed up by 3-0 away win at Tottenham on the weekend.

Atalanta 18/10

Draw 29/10

Manchester United 27/20

Suggested Bet: The draw at 29/10

Atalanta will fancy their chances of getting something out of this game given how hard they pushed Manchester United in the opener. Manchester United are a difficult team to call at the moment, but given the current situation in the group I don’t think a point on the road would be too disappointing for them.
