BettingDiaryThe Champions League continues on Tuesday night and we take a look at two of the matches from a betting angle.

Let’s start with a look at the updated outright betting where we have Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain trading as 4/1 joint favourites with Bayer Munich priced at 11/2, you can get Chelsea 7/1, Liverpool 8/1, Manchester United 12/1 and 14/1 and better the balance.

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN V MANCHESTER CITY

This Group A clash pits the two co-favourites against each other and PSG will be hoping to improve on a disappointing 1-1 draw away at Club Brugge in their opening game. They are in cracking form domestically and they have won their last 3 matches since that trip to Club Brugge, recently beating Montpellier 2-0 at home on the weekend.

Manchester City opened their campaign with a rampant 6-3 victory over RB Leipzig at home and domestically they grabbed an impressive 3 points away at title rivals, Chelsea on the weekend winning 1-0. Their previous EPL match was a disappointing goalless draw at home to Southampton.

These sides met in the semi-final of the 2020/2021 season with Manchester City winning 4-1 on aggregate and beating PSG 2-1 on the road in the first leg.

Paris Saint-Germain 41/20

Draw 53/20

Manchester City 13/10

Suggested Bet: The draw at 53/20

City seem to be hitting a top form and I am not convinced that PSG are quite at their best. I think a draw would be satisfactory results for both teams.

Looking at the Goal Scorer Market you would expect that we would get goals at both ends and Both Teams to Score - YES, is trading at 5/10 with Over 2.5 goals a bit short for me at 11/20.

FC PORTO v LIVERPOOL

This clash takes place in Group B which looks likely to be tightly contested.

Porto opened their campaign with a goalless draw away at Atletico Madrid and since that match they have won both of their games in the Portuguese League, most recently beating Gil Vicente 2-1 away from home on the weekend.

Liverpool beat AC Milan 3-2 at home in their opening game at Anfield and they played another high scoring game on the weekend, drawing 3-3 at Brentford in the League. Liverpool’s last 5 games in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profits.

These sides met in the quarter-finals of 2018/2019 Champions League with Liverpool coming through comfortable 6-1 aggregate winners and winning the second leg at Porto by 4-1

Porto 73/20

Draw 61/20

Liverpool 15/20

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 16/10

Liverpool are looking good on attack, but they do appear a bit shaky at the back when put under pressure and I think Porto are well capable of getting amongst the goals, but will likely concede a few themselves.
