MANCHESTER CITY v DORTMUND – Click here to bet

Manchester City were workmanlike in beating Monchengladbach 4-0 on aggregate with 2-0 wins home and away in their last 16 encounter. Looking at their group matches they won all 3 home games scoring 3 goals on each occasion.

Domestically City are going well and are on track for another title with the most recent match a 2-0 win over 3rd placed Leicester on the weekend.

Dortmund beat Sevilla 5-4 on aggregate in a thrilling last 16 encounter where they won the away leg 3-2 and then drew 2-2 at home. They won 2 and lost 1 of their 3 away matches in the group stages.

Goals tend to flow in Dortmund games and their last 4 matches in the Champions League has seen both teams find the back of the net. This is in contrast to City’s games where City’s defence has seen them let in only 1 goal all tournament.

Dortmund were beaten 2-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt at home in the League on the weekend.

BETTING

Manchester City 4/10

Draw 17/4

Dortmund 7/1

Suggested Bet: Manchester City Clean Sheet, YES, at 23/20

For all of City’s attacking power it is defence that has been their main weapon this season and they will be looking to keep things tight to prevent Dortmund scoring an away goal.

REAL MADRID v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet

Real Madrid saw off Atalanta 4-1 on aggregate in their last 16 match. They won the away leg 1-0 and then were comfortable winners at home 3-1. In the group stages they won 2 and lost 1 of their home games, but they did score at least 2 goals in each match even in their loss.

They are undefeated in all competitions since the end of January and on the weekend beat Eibar 2-0 at home in the League.

Liverpool were too strong for RB Leipzig in their last 16 encounter, winning both legs 2-0 for a 4-0 aggregate victory. Liverpool won 2 and lost 1 of their home matches in the group stages and they have returned to form in the League with back-to-back away wins over Wolves and Arsenal, the Arsenal win coming on the weekend.

BETTING

Real Madrid 7/4

Draw 49/20

Liverpool 16/10

Suggested Bet: The draw at 49/20

Real Madrid have hit a nice run of form and although Liverpool haven't put a foot wrong in Europe I think this could be a close game and the visitors may well be grateful to take a point back to Anfield.
