Wednesday night sees 2 DSTV Premiership matches taking place. We take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
TS GALAXY v BLOEM CELTIC
These sides are close together in the middle of the table with Galaxy in 11th, 2 points behind Bloem Celtic in 10th, but having played a game less.
Galaxy’s recent form has been encouraging and they are undefeated in their last 4 with 2 wins and 2 draws, most recently they drew 1-1 away at Chippa United. Their home form has been a concern this season with just 1 win in 6 matches and they have lost their last 2 games at home.
Galaxy home matches have averaged 2 goals each and they have only scored 4 goals in their 6 games.
Bloem Celtic are also in reasonable form having only lost 1 of their last 6 games. Their last match was also against Chippa United and finished 1-1 in Bloemfontein. Their away form has been dismal this season with no victories in 7 attempts and only 2 draws to show for their efforts.
Celtic away games have been relatively high scoring and averaging 3.1 goals each and 4 of 7 matches would have seen you collect a profit had you been on over 2.5 goals.

TS Galaxy 5/4
Draw 2/1
Bloem Celtic 27/10
Suggested Bet: The draw at 2/1
I have looked at this game for some time and really cannot make a strong case for either team and that has me leaning towards the draw. I am expecting a tight low scoring encounter, but the books are on to that one and under 2.5 goals is priced at 5/10.
SUPERSPORT UNITED v ORLANDO PIRATES
This is the big clash of the night and sees 2nd placed SuperSport taking on 5th placed Orlando Pirates. 4 points currently separate the teams on the log and they have both played 17 games.
SuperSport had come from behind to draw 1-1 away with Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend and prior to that they had beaten Cape Town City 2-1 on the road. They played 9 matches at home this season with 5 wins and 4 draws and those games have averaged 2.2 goals each.
Pirates have only lost 1 of their last 5 matches and they have drawn 3 and won 1 in that period. They are coming off a 2-0 home win over Cape Town City, but their last road trip was a 2-0 defeat at Arrows.
Overall they have won 3 and drawn 2 of 8 away fixtures and digging deeper into their goal stats, Pirates away games have been low scoring averaging just 2 goals each and had you been on over 2.5 goals in each of those matches, you would have only collected a profit in 25% of the games.

SuperSport United 18/10
Draw 39/20
Orlando Pirates 37/20
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 27/20
It is always brave to put overs/unders as a pick in the PSL, but both these sides are playing good football and looking at the head-to-head stats the last 3 matches between the teams would have seen this bet arrive.
