With 2 games already off due to Covid we are hoping there are no more casualties ahead of the fixtures scheduled for Boxing Day and Monday the 27th. We select 3 of the matches to have a bet on.
BOXING DAY
MANCHESTER CITY v LEICESTER CITY
Manchester City are top of the table and are coming off 8 successive victories most recently a 4-0 drumming of Newcastle away. Their last home game was a 7-0 thrashing of Leeds and in 9 home matches they have scored 25 goals conceding just 3.
Leicester are currently 9th on the table after a much needed win 4-0 at home to Newcastle in their last start back on the 12th of December. They have had a couple of matches postponed since then. Leicester have won 3 and drawn 3 of their 8 away games and Leicester away games have been amongst the highest scoring in the Division averaging 3.4 goals each with 7 of the 8 matches delivering profits if you had backed over 2.5 goals.
City edged Leicester 1-0 away from home in the reverse fixture, but last season Leicester stunned City in this match winning 5-2, a result that could have been backed at almost double figure prices.

Manchester City 1/5
Draw 25/4
Leicester City 25/2
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 21/20
Manchester City are currently scoring goals for fun and this should be an entertaining fixture with Leicester well capable of scoring on the break.
TOTTENHAM v CRYSTAL PALACE
Tottenham are 7th on the table and are on an unbeaten run of 5 matches most recently drawing 2-2 at home to Liverpool prior to that draw they had been on a 3 match winning streak at home and 6 of the 9 Tottenham home matches have reached the 3 goal mark.
Crystal Palace are currently 11th on the table and their last match was a 2-2 home draw against Southampton in mid-December. They have battled on the road this season with just 1 win in 8 starts and they have lost their last 2 away matches both by 1-0 margins away at Manchester United and Leeds.

Tottenham 15/20
Draw 57/20
Crystal Palace 15/4
Suggested Bet: Tottenham win at 15/20
I was impressed by Tottenham against Liverpool and they have an excellent home record against Crystal Palace winning their last 5 in a row and the last 3 by comfortable margins. This is my best bet on the card.
MONDAY
NEWCASTLE UNITED v MANCHESTER UNITED
Newcastle are currently sitting 19th on the log level on points with bottom side Norwich. They have lost their last 3 matches, most recently getting hammered 4-0 at home by Manchester City and prior to that going down to Newcastle and Leicester. They have only won once in 9 matches at home this season drawing 4 and losing 4 and digging into their goal stats we find Newcastle home matches have been the highest scoring in the Division averaging 3.7 goals each with Newcastle scoring 12 and conceding 21 in 9 games.
Manchester United are 6th on the log and while haven’t been in action for a while due to postponed matches they have been in good form with 3 successive victories most recently 1-0 away at Norwich and prior to that beating Palace and Arsenal at home. They played 8 matches on the road winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 2 and there is a 50% split between over and under 2.5 goals in Manchester United away matches.
