BettingDiaryEnglish Premier League fans have 2 matches to look forward to on Monday night and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

CHELSEA v EVERTON

This is a big match as it pits 4th placed Chelsea against 5th placed Everton who trail them by a point, but with a game in hand.

Chelsea go into this game on a back of a 1-0 away win over Liverpool and they are now 8 matches without defeat during which time they have had 5 wins and 3 draws.   Chelsea home games have averaged 2.6 goals each this season and 7 of the 13 matches would have seen you collect a profit had you been backing under 2.5 goals.

Everton have won their last 3 matches including beating West Brom 1-0 away last time out and they have not conceded in their last 3 matches, all of which would have delivered for under 2.5 goal backers. Their away record has been excellent this season with 9 wins and 2 draws in 13 matches and those away games averaged 2.6 goals each and like the Chelsea home matches, 7 of the 13 have had 2 goals or less in them.

Chelsea 11/20

Draw 31/10

Everton 21/4

Suggested Bet: Match Bet plus Totals, under 3.5 goals and Chelsea to win at 19/20

I was really impressed with Chelsea’s last match and I think they could be ready to climb the table further. Everton’s defence has been strong though and they won’t be easy to break down. I am going for a Chelsea win, but with 3 goals or less in the match.

WEST HAM v LEEDS

West Ham are 6th on the table, but saw a 4 match unbeaten run ended when they lost 2-1 at Manchester City last time out. Their previous 2 home games were wins over Tottenham and Sheffield United and they have an excellent home record this season with 7 wins and 3 draws in their 14 games. They have also won 4 of their last 5 home fixtures and their last 4 home games would also have delivered profits had you being backing over 2.5 goals.

Leeds are 11th on the table and while they have lost 13 games, 2 more than they have won and benefitted from the fact that they have only had 2 draws his season. They are coming off a 1-0 home loss to Villa and their last away games were defeats at Wolves and Arsenal. They have yet to play to a draw on the road with 6 wins and 7 defeats in 13 starts and Leeds away games are the highest scoring in the Division, averaging 3.9 goals each with 10 of the 13 matches reaching 3 goals or more.

West Ham 11/10

Draw 26/10

Leeds 5/2

Suggested Bet: West Ham win at 11/10

I think we could have goals in this game and I did consider West Ham over 2.5 goals at 33/20, but 11/10 looks a fair enough price for a West Ham win and I am happy to take that against a Leeds side that blows hot and cold, but have being battling on the road of late.
