BettingDiaryThe final day of the English Premier League season is upon us and there are three key areas of focus namely the Title race, the battle for 4th position and the final relegation spot.

THE TITLE RACE

Manchester City lead Liverpool by 1 point and they have a superior goal difference so realistically Liverpool need to win their game and hope that Manchester City fail to do likewise if they are to take the Title.

Manchester City are short priced favourites at 2/11 to see off Aston Villa at home and there is no doubt that Aston Villa will be giving it all as they are managed by former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. Manchester City have won their last 6 matches against Aston Villa in the League and although deep down I am rooting for Villa to get something out of this game, I think the best they can hope for is a goal and I will take both teams to score, yes, at 13/10.

Liverpool have not lost at home this season and they are 2/11 to see off a Wolves side that is 8th on the log, but that has only taken 2 points from the last 18 they have played for. Liverpool know that even a win here will probably see them fall short of the Title, but I am expecting a big effort and I am going to back them to win by 3 goals or more at 27/20.

TITLE RACE SUGGESTED BETS: Liverpool (-2.5) at 27/20 and both teams to score, yes, at 13/10 in Manchester City v Aston Villa

THE RACE FOR 4TH PLACE

Arsenal have really bottled this and have lost their last two games including a very disappointing 2-0 defeat at Newcastle and a crucial 3-0 loss at Tottenham who now sit above them in 4th on the table 2 points clear.

Tottenham are short priced favourites at 2/9 to see off Norwich and guarantee their spot in the Top 4 and even a draw would do the job for them there.

The Gunners are 4/10 and home to Everton who secured their safety with a midweek win over Crystal Palace.

I am going to keep this simple and back Arsenal and Tottenham to win their games at a combined price of 7/10.

SUGGESTED BET IN THE 4TH PLACE RACE: Arsenal win and Tottenham win at 7/10

THE RELEGATION BATTLE

Burnley and Leeds both sit on 35 points and Burnley have a far superior goal difference. Burnley picked up a crucial point away at Aston Villa on Thursday night although they will have been disappointed they could not kick on and win the game having taken the lead.

Leeds kept their hopes alive with an injury time equaliser against Brighton on the weekend and it is all set up for a thrilling final day of the season.

Burnley are at home to Newcastle United and they are priced at 12/10 to win the match. Newcastle are currently 12th on the log having won 3 of their last 5 games including a 2-0 home win over Arsenal last time out. Newcastle have lost 4 of their last 5 away games though and Burnley have won 3 of their last 4 at home that has me leaning towards a home win here and safety for Burnley.

Leeds are away at Brentford who have had a good season in the EPL and currently sit 11th. They could mathematically drop as low as 14th if they lose the match and I am expecting them to be up for this one against a Leeds side that has no choice, but to come at them. Leeds would have been pumped by their late draw at Brighton, but I think it is going to be a false dawn and I am backing Brentford to win this one at 14/10.

SUGGESTED RELEGATION BETS: Burnley win at 12/10 and Brentford to win at 14/10. If you fancy the double it works out to just over 4/1
