BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday from a betting angle.

WEST BROM v NEWCASTLE

West Brom are 2nd from bottom of the table and look destined for relegation. They had been on a 3 match unbeaten run before their last game a 1-0 defeat at home to Everton and their last 5 games have all had 2 goals or less in them. They have only won twice in 14 home games this season and in those 14 games they have scored 9 goals while conceding 33.

Newcastle have only won 2 of their last 10 games and they sit 17th on the table and with Fulham closing in on them, relegation is still a possibility. Last time out they drew 1-1 at home to Wolves and prior to that lost on the road to Manchester United and Chelsea. They have lost 4 of their last 5 away matches and only 3 of their 13 away games would have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profits.

West Brom 29/20

Draw 22/10

Newcastle 43/20

Suggested Bet: The draw at 22/10

Looked at this game and I just can’t see past a tight encounter and believe the value lies in both teams to share the spoils.

LIVERPOOL v FULHAM

Liverpool go into this game 7th on the log, but on the back of yet another home defeat, this time a 1-0 against Chelsea. They have now lost 5 successive home games, the worst run ever by a Liverpool team at home.

Fulham are 18th on the table and having looked like they might make a run for safety, their form has dipped and they lost to Tottenham 1-0 at home last time out and drew to Palace on the road prior to that. They haven't lost 1 of their last 6 though. They have only won twice on the road this season, but have had 7 draws including 4 in their last 5 away matches. Only 3 of Fulham’s 13 away games would have seen you collect a profit had you been on over 2.5 goals.

Liverpool 4/10

Draw 4/1

Fulham 29/4

Suggested Bet: High scoring half, second at 1/1

I think Fulham will adopt a defensive strategy early on, but at some point surely Liverpool will get a goal and that can open things up in the second-half.

MANCHESTER CITY v MANCHESTER UNITED

The big Manchester derby is one of the highlights of the weekend for many a sports fan and this year it also pits No. 1 and No. 2 on the table against each other.

There is a big gap between them though with City 14 points clear of Manchester United, having won their last 15 League games and 21 matches in all competitions. United by contrast are undefeated in the last 7, but 5 of those matches have finished in draws and they have played consecutive goalless draws away at Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

City have found their goal scoring touch and put 4 past Wolves in midweek, enough to deliver our bet which was City to score 3 goals or more. City’s home record is superb with 11 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss and they have scored more than 3 goals to every 1 they have conceded at home.

Manchester United are yet to lose on the road this season with 8 wins and 6 draws, but they have drawn their last 4 away matches.

Manchester City 5/10

Draw 7/2

Manchester United 21/4

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City (-1) at 13/10

City seem to be head and shoulders above any other team in the League at the moment and if anything, they are getting better. United are struggling and I can see their neighbours putting a good few past them and getting their 1st league win over United in 3 attempts.

TOTTENHAM v CRYSTAL PALACE

Tottenham are 8th on the table and have had back-to-back victories away at Fulham and at home to Burnley with Burnley win particularly impressive as they won 4-0.

Crystal Palace are 13th on the table and are coming off consecutive draws at home to Manchester United and Fulham with both games finishing goalless. Their last away match was a 2-1 win at Brighton.

Palace away games have averaged 2.8 goals each this season and 8 of the 13 matches would have seen you collect from your bookmaker had you being backing over 2.5 goals.

Tottenham 9/20

Draw 73/20

Crystal Palace 25/4

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Tottenham (-1) at 12/10

Tottenham appear to have come through their bad patch and they have an excellent record at home against Crystal Palace winning their last 5 head-to-heads and their last 2 by more than a goal.
