BettingDiaryThere are 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday and we suggest a bet in each.

WEST BROM v TOTTENHAM – Click here to bet

West Brom are still looking for their first win of the season with 3 draws and 4 defeats in their opening 7 games. Last time out they were very disappointing losing 2-0 to fellow strugglers, Fulham on the road and they have taken 2 points from a possible 9 at home.

Tottenham are 3rd on the table and are on a good recent run which has seen them win 3 of their last 4 matches including beating Brighton 2-1 at home last time out. They have won all 3 of their away matches this season beating Burnley, Manchester United and Southampton.

BETTING

West Brom 5/1

Draw 69/20

Tottenham 11/20

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Tottenham (-1) at 13/10

2 of their 3 away matches have seen them win by 3 goals or more and against West Brom I think they have every chance of running away with the 3 points.

LEICESTER v WOLVES – Click here to bet

Leicester are 2nd on the table and have bounced back from consecutive defeats to beat Arsenal and Leeds on the road. Those 2 defeats came at home though against Aston Villa and West Ham and they will need to improve their home form if they are going to challenge for the title.

Wolves are up to 6th on the table after an impressive run of form that has seen them take 10 points from the last 12 they have played for. Last time out they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at home and on the road they have won 2 of their 3 matches beating Leeds and Sheffield United and losing to West Ham.

BETTING

Leicester 27/20

Draw 43/20

Wolves 47/20

Suggested Bet: The draw at 43/20.

I considered going under 2.5 goals as both head-to-head’s last season finished goalless, but the price of 11/20 is a bit short and I think the value lies in the draw in what should be a competitive match.

MANCHESTER CITY v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet

The clash of the weekend last season’s Runners-up City against Champions Liverpool.

City are currently 10th on the table and have steadied the ship after a slow start. They have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 matches and last time out beat Sheffield United 1-0 on the road. This is their 3rd home game of the season having beaten Arsenal and losing 5-2 to Leicester.

Liverpool are back in familiar territory at the top of the table and they have taken 10 points from the last 12 they have played for. They beat West Ham 2-1 at home last time out and have been a mixed bag on the road beating Chelsea, losing to Villa and drawing to Everton.

City won this fixture 4-0 last season.

BETTING

Manchester City 21/20

Draw 3/1

Liverpool 47/20

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 21/20

I was hoping for a price on both teams to score with 6 of the 7 Liverpool fixtures delivering this season and 4 of the 6 City fixtures, but bookmakers are wise to that and have priced up at 4/10. The bet I will go with then is over 3.5 goals at 21/20 and this would have arrived in both head-to-head’s last season.

ARSENAL v ASTON VILLA – Click here to bet

Arsenal are 9th on the log and they play against Aston Villa who are a position above them, but have lost their last 2 matches. The Gunners are coming off a 1-0 away win over Manchester United and that broke a run of successive defeats against City away and Leicester at home. Arsenal’s last 3 matches have all had exactly 1 goal in them, but their first 4 matches of the season all delivered for over 2.5 goal backers.

Villa have lost home fixtures against Southampton and Leeds conceding 7 goals over those 2 matches. Prior to that they had won their opening 4 games including away wins over Leicester and Fulham.

BETTING

Arsenal 15/20

Draw 61/20

Aston Villa 37/10

Suggested Bet: Arsenal win at 15/20

I think Arsenal have turned the corner and Villa could be on the slide and I am going to keep this simple and go for a straight win bet at 15/20 which is around about a shorter price that I get involved in.
