BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 4 English Premier League matches taking place this weekend and suggest a bet in each.

SATURDAY

NEWCASTLE v WEST HAM

Newcastle are currently 17th on the table and grabbed a much needed victory last time out beating Burnley 2-1 on the road. Their last 3 games in the League have all delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers. Newcastle have won 4 of 15 home games and have drawn their last 3 home games on the trot.

West Ham are enjoying their best season in living memory and they are currently 4th on the table and coming off a stunning 3-2 home win against Leicester. Their last 3 games have all had at least 5 goals in them with a pair of 3-2 victories and a 3-3 draw. The Hammers have won 7 out of 15 away games, but Newcastle did win at West Ham 2-0 earlier in the season.

Newcastle 53/20

Draw 49/20

West Ham 11/10

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 8/10

Newcastle home games have seen 10 out of their 15 matches reach 3 goals or more and exactly the same stat applies to West Ham away matches. All signs point to an overs game here.

WOLVES v SHEFFIELD UNITED

Wolves are 12th on the table and look guaranteed for more English Premier League football next season. They did get a much needed win 1-0 away at Fulham last time out and that broke a run of 5 matches without a victory. They will be looking to right the ship at home as they have lost their last 2 games in a row when hosting.

Sheffield United have only got 14 points from 31 matches and are doomed to come last this season. They have lost their last 4 matches in a row, last time out losing 3-0 at home to Arsenal. They have played 15 matches away from home, winning only 1.

Wolves beat Sheffield United 2-0 on the road in their last meeting, but Sheffield United won this fixture 1-0 last season.

Wolves 7/10

Draw 51/20

Sheffield United 19/4

Suggested Bet: Wolves win at 7/10

I was eyeing under 2.5 goals, but 11/20 is a bit too short for me. I do think that Wolves have the ability to win the game against a Sheffield United side with nothing much to play for.

SUNDAY

ARSENAL v FULHAM

Arsenal are 9th on the table and got a much needed victory beating Sheffield United 3-0 away last time out. Their last 4 games have all delivered for over 2.5 goal backers. Their last home game was a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Fulham are 18th on the table and having made a run of safety have fallen back into old habits and have lost 4 in a row, most recently losing 1-0 at home to Wolves and their last away game was a 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa.

Arsenal won the reverse fixture 3-0 at Fulham.

Arsenal 15/20

Draw 11/4

Fulham 4/1

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 21/20

I am surprised to be getting quote about even money here as recent Arsenal games in particular have had plenty of goals and this bet would have arrived in 4 out of the last 5 head-to-heads between the sides.

MANCHESTER UNITED v BURNLEY

Manchester United are 2nd on the table and have strung together 4 successive victories, most recently a convincing 3-1 win at Tottenham. Their last 2 home games were victories over Brighton and West Ham.

They face a Burnley side sitting 16th on the table and with only 1 win in their last 8 matches. Their last 2 games have been a 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle and a 3-2 loss away at Southampton. Both teams have found the back of the net in the last 5 Burnley matches.

Manchester United won the reverse fixture 1-0 and last season it was the away team that won on both occasions.

Manchester United 4/10

Draw 4/1

Burnley 31/4

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 11/10

Manchester United have a strong defence, but Burnley have been getting goals wherever they play and once again I am happy to be taking anything above even money here.
