There is Friday night English Premier League action for punters to sink their teeth into and we take a closer look at the game between Everton and Tottenham with the focus on the betting angle.
Everton are currently 8th on the table, 1 point behind Tottenham on 7th, but have played a game less. Their recent form is what has let them down and they have only taken 2 points from the last 12 they played for and 1 of those points came last time out in a goalless draw at Brighton. Their last home game was also a draw 1-1 against Crystal Palace.
Everton’s home form has seen them play 15 matches with 5 wins and 3 draws and they have only won 1 of their last 5 home matches. Everton’s home games have averaged 2.9 goals each and there is a fairly equal split between under and over 2.5 goals with over 2.5 goals arriving in 7 of their 15 games.
Tottenham are coming off a 3-1 home loss to Manchester United and prior to that they drew 2-2 with Newcastle on the road. 4 of Tottenham’s last 5 games has seen profits for over 2.5 goal backers and away from home this season they have won 7 and drawn 4 of their 16 matches. A closer look at Tottenham’s goal stats on the road show a 50% split between over 2.5 and under 2.5 goals and an average goal per game of 2.8.
Looking at head-to-head League form between these sides, Everton edged the reverse fixture 1-0 at Tottenham and last time Everton hosted, the game finished 1-1. The last 3 meetings between the sides has seen 2 goals or less scored, but if you go back a couple of seasons there were 12 goals in 2 games between the sides including a 6-2 victory for Tottenham at Everton.

Everton 47/20
Draw 12/5
Tottenham 5/4
Suggested Bet: The draw at 12/5
I don’t see much between these sides on current form and recent meetings between the teams have been very close including an FA Cup fixture back in February where Tottenham progressed in extra time away at Everton.
Looking at some of the other markets on offer I would perhaps be tempted by the 15/20 under 2.5 goals as Everton in particular are struggling to score, however Tottenham’s recent games have proved quite high scoring and that puts me off this one a little bit and I wouldn’t blame anyone for leaning to the 19/20 over 2.5 goals.
There is a host of other markets including of course First Goal Scorer, Last Goal Scorer and Anytime Goal Scorer and if you ask me for a Correct Score Pick it would be 1-1 currently priced at 19/4.
