Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen head to the final Grand Prix of the season locked together on points and we are in for an absolute thriller at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, run over a street circuit last week probably wouldn’t have been that exciting if it wasn’t for the title race. We had numerous safety cars and red flags and in the end it was Lewis Hamilton that did enough to keep his title hopes alive winning the race and getting the fastest lap ahead of Max Verstappen with Hamilton’s teammate, Bottas sneaking into 3rd ahead of Ocon right at the chequered flag.
Verstappen and Hamilton are both on 369.5 points and should neither of them finish (certainly a possibility based on last week’s action) Verstappen would win the title by virtue of having won 9 Grand Prix’s to Hamilton’s 8.
Hamilton is the 5/10 favourite to keep the momentum going and win the title and you can get 16/10 Verstappen getting his maiden F1 Title.

Last year it was Max Verstappen who qualified in pole and went on to win the race ahead of Bottas and Hamilton, but punters should note that there have been some changes to the Yas Marina Circuit, all of which are aimed at making the racing more exciting. Hamilton has won this race 5 times and Verstappen’s win in 2020 broke a 5 race Mercedes winning streak at the track.

Suggested Bet: Lewis Hamilton win at 13/20
We backed Hamilton at a short price last week armed with the knowledge that we have the Money Back in Free Bets for Second Promotion in our favour. We never had to action it as he won comfortably in the end and given the momentum he brings into this race as well as his apparent calmness when compared to Verstappen, I am happy to wade in at the current price given the money back insurance.
Suggested Bet: Top Six Finish, Esteban Ocon at 13/2
The big profits last week came from backing Ocon to finish Top Six at 10/1. He rode a brilliant race, in the end just getting pipped off the podium and although his price is a lot shorter this week at 13/2 I am happy to have him on side again and he seems to be developing some consistency.
This should be a thrilling Grand Prix not to be missed and there are also plenty of other betting markets available here.
