BettingDiaryFormula 1 is back and we take a look at the Belgium Grand Prix from a betting angle.

Lewis Hamilton won his 4th Grand Prix in the season in Spain beating home closest rival Max Verstappen who trails him by 37 points in the Championship race.  Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate, Valtteri Bottas completed the podium.

The Drivers Championship betting offers little interest with Hamilton now 1/50 to win the title and Mercedes are even shorter at 1/500 to win the Constructors Championship.  Don’t get too excited if you want to bet on the Constructors Championship without Mercedes because here Red Bull are trading as 1/20 favourites.  I am sure it is just a matter of time before the bookmakers’ price up on the Drivers Championship without Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton 1/50 (1/10)

Valtteri Bottas 14/1 (8/1)

Max Verstappen 25/1 (12/1)

500/1 and better the balance

The Belgian Grand Prix has thrown up a number of different winners over the past few years with the race run at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.  Last year it was Charles Leclerc who won in his Ferrari making it two in a row for Ferrari with Sebastian Vettel having won in 2018.  This is one of the few races that Lewis Hamilton hasn’t dominated on the circuit although he did win in 2015 and 2017 and does have 3 victories to his credit.

Lewis Hamilton 5/10

Max Verstappen 15/4

Valtteri Bottas 9/2

Sergio Perez 35/1

66/1 and better the balance

SUGGESTED BETMax Verstappen win at 15/4

Hamilton is a predictably short-priced favourite at 5/10, but if there is a track to take him on at, it may be this one.  Verstappen has been in crushing form himself and hasn’t finished outside the Top 2 in his last 4 starts and bearing in mind the World Sports Betting money back special should your driver finish second and this bet holds plenty of appeal.
