The British Grand Prix takes place at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday and a question on everyone’s lips is can anyone stop Max Verstappen from storming to a 2nd consecutive title. We take a look at the race from a betting angle.
Max Verstappen qualified in pole position in Canada and held off a late challenge from Carlos Sainz to win fairly comfortably. It was his 6th win in 9 starts this season and came on the back of a dominant display in Azerbaijan and he has now moved a massive 46 points clear of Sergio Perez at the top of the table with Charles Leclerc, who has retired twice and missed the podium in 2 of his other 4 starts, now 49 points adrift.
It looked like we had a real race on our hands for the Drivers title, but Max Verstappen has now shortened to 1/6 favourite with Leclerc 6/1 and Perez at 33/1.

In last year’s British Grand Prix, Max Verstappen qualified 1st on the grid ahead of his title rival, Lewis Hamilton, the two came together early in the race and Verstappen had to retire while Hamilton went on to win ahead of Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas. That victory was Lewis Hamilton’s 8th in the British Grand Prix and his 3rd in a row and 7th in the last 8 years.

Suggested Bets:
Max Verstappen win at 21/20
Verstappen has looked the dominant driver in recent races and he will be keen to right what he considered an injustice in the British Grand Prix last season.
This bet comes with a money back for second place in free bets guaranteed with World Sports Betting, T & C’s apply and I am more than happy to take on the field at anything bigger than even money with Verstappen this week.
Podium Finish, Lewis Hamilton at 2/1
Hamilton has too many good memories of this course to be discarded and given that he finished on the podium in Canada ahead of his teammate Russell there certainly are some promising signs. If he is going to return to previous levels it may well come at his home Grand Prix.
