BettingDiaryThe Hungaroring in Budapest is the venue for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix and after the drama of Silverstone we should be in for a great race.

Lewis Hamilton breathed new life into the title race when he won at his home track Silverstone a fortnight ago. That win did not come without controversy though as he appeared to be the cause of title rival, Max Verstappen crashing out of the race and having to go to hospital for check-ups. It is fair to say there will be little love lost between the 2 title contenders from this point on.

Verstappen had qualified in pole position, but in the end it was Lewis Hamilton, having served a 10 second penalty, who came back to beat Charles Leclerc into 2nd with Bottas completing the podium. Lando Norris delivered another consistent performance with a 4th place finish. Sergio Perez carded the fastest lap.

Verstappen now leads Hamilton by just 8 points at the top of the Drivers standings but he remains the 5/10 favourite to take the title with Hamilton priced at 15/10.

This race took place early on last year’s calendar and Lewis Hamilton qualified fastest and went on to win the race ahead of Verstappen and Bottas. That was Hamilton’s 3rd successive victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix and he has now won here 8 times with his first victory coming back in 2007.

Max Verstappen 9/10

Lewis Hamilton 16/10

Valtteri Bottas 15/1

Sergio Perez 16/1

Charles Leclerc 22/1

40/1 and better the balance

Suggested Bet: Max Verstappen win at 9/10

Prior to the British Grand Prix, the Red Bull had been dominating proceedings and although Hamilton and Mercedes have an excellent record at this track I think Verstappen can take control of the title race once again.
