We take a look at Tuesday’s two big World Cup games namely South Africa vs West Indies and Pakistan vs New Zealand and suggest a couple of bets in each.
Let’s start with an update on the Outright Betting where India are 28/10 favourites despite their heavy loss to Pakistan on Sunday, England who had a convincing win over the West Indies are 33/10, you can get 7/2 Pakistan, 13/2 Australia and 10/1 and better the balance. The Proteas are currently trading as 20/1 underdogs.

SOUTH AFRICA v WEST INDIES
This game takes place in Dubai and is a crucial one for both teams having lost their opening matches.
The Proteas got the Tournament going against Australia on Saturday and after losing the toss they were sent in to bat. Captain, Bavuma got them off to a brisk start, but was bowled for 12 and in the end they limped to 118 for 9 in their 20 overs with Markram with 40 off 36 balls the only highlight.
The bowlers then stepped up to the plate putting Australia under pressure and at 81 for 5 the Proteas were definitely in with a shout, but the Australian middle order saw them home with a 5 wicket win with 2 balls to spare. There were solid bowling performances all round by the South Africans with Nortje picking up 2 for 21 in his 4 overs delivering for anyone who had backed him in the Top South African Bowling Market.
The West Indies also lost the toss and were sent in to bat on Saturday and they were bundled out for 55 with only Chris Gayle making double figures with 13.
England chased down the score with almost 12 overs to spare and 6 wickets in hand. Hosein opened the bowling and managed to pick up 2 for 24 in his 4 overs.

South Africa 1/1
West Indies 17/20
Suggested Bet: Proteas win at 1/1
This is not a confident call, but I am a little surprised to see the Proteas underdogs against the West Indies team that performed so poorly in the opening game. The West Indies are known for their inconsistency so there is every chance they turn up for this one, but overall I am quite impressed with the balance of the Proteas and it is just the top order batting that need to step up to the plate.
Suggested Bet: Man of the Match, Shamsi at 10/1
If South Africa are to win this it is likely a Protea will be Man of the Match and I was very impressed with Shamsi in the opener against Australia and with a bit of luck he could have had a few more wickets and I am looking to him for a match winning performance on Tuesday.
PAKISTAN v NEW ZEALAND
This game takes place in Sharjah and Pakistan are coming off a thumping 10 wicket win over India in their opener while New Zealand play their first game of the Tournament.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first against Tournament favourites, India and they were very quickly on top getting India at 6 for 2 in the 3rd over with Afridi on fire with the ball. India recovered to score a respectable 151 for 7 and Afridi finished with 3 for 31 in his 4 overs with able support from the rest of the bowling line up.
The Pakistan opening partnership of Rizwan and Azam proceeded to knock off the target with over 2 overs to spare with Rizwan finishing with 79 at a strike rate of 143 and Azam 68 at a strike rate of 130.
New Zealand haven't been in the greatest of form leading up to the Tournament and they lost both their warm up fixtures against England and Australia, although both were closely contested affairs. Prior to that they played a 5 match series against Bangladesh losing 3-2.

Pakistan 15/20
New Zealand 11/10
Suggested Bet: Pakistan win at 15/20
Like the West Indies, Pakistan are often an inconsistent side, but it was hard not to be impressed with the way they beat India and the 15/20 looks a more than fair price that they make it two wins from two here.
Suggested Bet: Top Pakistan Batsman Rizwan at 11/4
It is hard to look past Rizwan or Azam in the Top Bat Market and they dominate the betting, although at 11/4 the Rizwan price is more tempting than the 19/10 about Babar Azam.
