BettingDiaryThe Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the North West Province is host to this weekend’s Nedbank Cup final and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

Mamelodi Sundowns ran out comfortable winners of the PSL and they finished 16 points clear of second placed Cape Town City.

They now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup where they were given their sternest test in the semi-final, beating Royal AM 2-1 on the road at a price of just over 8/10. Prior to that they had hammered lower league opposition in the previous 3 rounds, scoring 15 goals without conceding.

Marumo Gallants finished 10th in the PSL and had 4 draws and a loss in their last 5 matches. The big challenge for them this season has been scoring goals and they only got 22 goals in 30 League appearances.

They reached the Nedbank Cup Final with a 1-0 away win over Tshakhuma and saw off Baroka by a goal in the quarter-finals, Orlando Pirates on penalties in the last 16 and Santos 2-0 in the round of 32.

These sides met twice in the PSL with Sundowns winning at Marumo Gallants 4-0, but the teams played to a 1-1 draw at Sundowns in their last meeting back in December. They also met in the Nedbank Cup last year where Marumo Gallants won on penalties.

Mamelodi Sundowns 8/15

Draw 26/10

Marumo Gallants 6/1

Suggested Bet: Mamelodi Sundowns -1.5 goals AT PRICE TO FOLLOW

For this bet to win we need Mamelodi Sundowns to win by more than a goal and I think that the rampant Brazilians can end their local season in style.

Look out for more markets on the game as kick off approaches.
