FRIDAY

TSHAKHUMA v SUPERSPORT

Tshakhuma ply their trade in the GladAfrica Championship where they are currently sitting 12th on the table. They reached the quarter-finals by beating Sinenkani 3-0 on the road in the last 16 and prior to that had seen off PSL opposition Golden Arrows at home on penalties in the round of 32.

SuperSport United play their 13th consecutive away match in the Nedbank Cup and their 2 games to reach this point were 1-0 victories over Maritzburg United and Platinum City. SuperSport are not in the greatest of form with just 2 points from the last 12 they have played for in the League.

BETTING

Tshakhuma 7/2

Draw 9/4

SuperSport 17/20

Suggested Bet: SuperSport win at 17/20

I am quite happy to take this price about a PSL side who have proven good travellers in the Nedbank Cup.

SATURDAY

MARUMO GALLANTS v BAROKA

Marumo Gallants beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 on penalties to make the last 8. Their previous game was a 2-0 home win over Santos. Their recent League form has been poor with two losses and a draw in their last 3 starts during which time they have failed to score a goal.

Baroka play their first consecutive away match in the Nedbank Cup having beaten TS Galaxy on penalties in the last 16 and Stellenbosch 1-0 in the round of 32. Like their opponents, Baroka have lost their last two League games.

Marumo Gallants hosted Baroka in the League in early March winning 3-0.

BETTING

Marumo Gallants 21/20

Draw 22/10

Baroka 5/2

Suggested Bet: Marumo Gallants win at 21/20

Although in shaky form of late, Gallants look the superior side to me and I am backing them to replicate their comfortable home win in the League just over a month ago.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v SUMMERFIELD DYNAMOS

Summerfield Dynamos ply their trade in the ABC Motsepe League and they are managed by Clinton Larsen who according to a SuperSport article has had some success against Sundowns as a manager over the years.

Sundowns are travelling well on all fronts and currently sit top of the League and have also won their last 5 matches in succession in all competitions. Looking at the Nedbank Cup they beat lower league opposition in both the last two rounds scoring 10 goals without conceding.

Summerfield Dynamos required extra time to get past Black Eagles in the last 16 and their round of 32 match was a 1-0 away win over Uthongathi.

BETTING

Mamelodi Sundowns 1/12

Draw 8/1

Summerfield Dynamos 22/1

Suggested Bet: TO FOLLOW WHEN MORE MARKETS ARE AVAILABLE

SUNDAY

ROYAL AM v UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA

Royal Am booked their spot in the last 8 with a 1-0 win over fellow PSL team, Swallows on the road.   They had previously seen off Cape Town City 2-1 at home and they are unbeaten in their last 10 matches across all competitions.

The Pretoria University required penalties to see off Venda on the road in the last 16 and in the round of 32 they beat PSL opposition, Chippa United, 2-0 at home having seen off the Hungry Lions 2-1 at home in the round of 32.

BETTING

Royal AM 13/20

Draw 26/10

University of Pretoria 5/1

Suggested Bet: TO FOLLOW WHEN MORE MARKETS ARE OUT

I like Royal AM to win this, but at 13/20 they are just a bit short for me and I would like to have a look at the goals markets before getting involved.

Additional bets will be posted on Saturday morning
