BettingDiaryThere are 3 Absa Premiership matches taking place on Monday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

AMAZULU v BLOEMFONTEIN CELTIC – Click here to bet

AmaZulu are bottom of the table and in desperate need of points as the season hurtles to a close. They have 2 matches since returning to action drawing against Baroka and losing 2-1 to Wits. AmaZulu matches this season averaged just 1.7 goals each and they have scored less goals (15) than any other team in the PSL.

Bloem Celtic bagged 3 points when they beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-1 in their last start and prior to that they drew with SuperSport and currently sit 11th on the table. Their matches have been the highest scoring of the PSL averaging 2.9 goals each with 14 of the 25 games delivering for over 2.5 goal backers.

Over 2.5 goals would have arrived in the last 4 meetings between the sides in all competitions.

Betting

AmaZulu 12/5

Draw 21/10

Bloem Celtic 5/4

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 21/20

The head-to-head fixtures is what convinced me here as well as the fact that Bloem Celtic are a free scoring team.

MARITZBURG UNITED v BIDVEST WITSClick here to bet

This match sees 6th placed Maritzburg United take on 4th placed Wits and there are currently 4 points separating the sides although Maritzburg have played a game more. Things haven't gone according to plan for them since returning from the break and they lost to Black Leopards, but did draw 2-2 with Sundowns. There have been 9 goals in their 2 matches to date.

Wits have had to catch up on fixtures and they have already played 4 times since returning to action with 3 draws and a victory over AmaZulu.

Both these sides average 1.9 goals a game in their matches and Maritzburg beat Wits earlier in the season.

Betting

Maritzburg United 2/1

Draw 39/20

Bidvest Wits 31/20

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 17/10

I can understand the big price here because both of these sides are playing in low scoring games, but when you consider that Maritzburg’s 2 games since the break have had 4 and 5 goals in respectively this price does seem a bit on the large side.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v GOLDEN ARROWS – Click here to bet

At the time of writing Sundowns are 5 points behind Kaizer Chiefs and both sides have 5 games left to play. Sundowns have been very poor since returning to action and they have played 4 games with 3 draws and a loss. Both teams have found the back of the net in Sundowns last 3 PSL matches which have delivered a total of 11 goals.

Arrows have played 3 games since returning to action and they have only taken 1 point from a possible 9 and last time out lost 2-1 to Black Leopards.

Arrows beat Sundowns 3-2 in the reverse fixture but prior to that Mamelodi Sundowns had won 6 PSL fixtures in a row against them.

Betting

Mamelodi Sundowns 15/20

Draw 23/10

Golden Arrows 9/2

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 27/20

Backing 3 PSL matches to all deliver 3 goals or more is certainly a risky proposition, but like Maritzburg United in the game above Sundowns matches have been quite free flowing and Arrows last game also delivered 3 goals.

I am also going to have a small interest in the treble, over 2.5 goals in each match which works out at 12/1.
