BettingDiaryThe DSTV Premier League returns this weekend and we take a look at the 4 matches taking place on Saturday and suggest a bet in each of them.

BAROKA v SUPERSPORT UNITED

Baroka are 7th on the table, but coming off a 2-0 away loss at Bloem Celtic. They have only played 3 home matches to date, winning 2 and drawing 1 and both teams have scored in all 3 of Baroka’s home matches.

SuperSport United are 5th on the table with a game in hand over the 4 teams above them. They are coming off a 2-1 home win over Kaizer Chiefs and they have played 3 times on the road winning 1 and losing 2.

Baroka 17/10

Draw 23/10

SuperSport United 16/10

Suggested Bet: Suggested bet both teams to score, YES, PRICE TO FOLLOW

I mentioned above this bet would have arrived in all 3 of Baroka’s home games, but it also would have arrived in 3 of SuperSport’s away fixtures.

GOLDEN ARROWS v MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

Arrows are 6th on the log and have yet to have been defeated in 7 matches this season, but they have had 5 draws. Last time out they beat AmaZulu 2-0 on the road and they have taken 5 points out of a possible 9 at home this season.

Mamelodi Sundowns are top of the table and galloping strongly following a 2-0 home win over TS Galaxy in midweek. They have taken 7 points from a possible 9 on the road.

Arrows won this fixture 3-2 last season.

Golden Arrows 31/10

Draw 49/20

Mamelodi Sundowns 9/10

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at PRICE TO FOLLOW

This is not a bet I normally go for in the PSL, but now I am putting it up 2 matches in a row. My reason here is that Arrows have scored in every match they have played this season and Sundowns have scored in all but one of theirs.

CAPE TOWN CITY v TS GALAXY

Cape Town City are 4th on the table with just 1 defeat in their opening 7 matches. They beat Stellenbosch 2-1 away on Tuesday night, but they have only won 1 of their 4 home matches this season.

TS Galaxy have only won 1 of their opening 7 PSL matches and they are coming off back-to-back defeats away at Sundowns and at home to Stellenbosch. They have yet to win on the road with 3 draws and a loss in 4 starts.

Cape Town City 6/10

Draw 59/20

TS Galaxy 9/2

Suggested Bet: Cape Town City win at 6/10

This is my PSL banker for the weekend as I think Galaxy is starting to find the going tough in the PSL and I expect 3 points from Cape Town City.

KAIZER CHIEFS v BLOEM CELTIC

Kaizer Chiefs have got off to an awful start to the season and they currently sit 13th on the log with 6 points in their 7 matches. They haven't won in their last 5 games and last time out were beaten 2-1 away by SuperSport. They have played 3 times at home without a victory to show for it.

Bloem Celtic are 10th on the log only 1 point above Chiefs, but they have won their last 2 matches at home to Baroka and Black Leopards. Their away form has been poor, but they have only played twice during which time they have yet to score a point.

Kaizer Chiefs 1/1

Draw 51/20

Bloem Celtic 26/10

Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 1/1

For my eyes there is not much to justify this bet, but just a feeling that a quality coach like Gavin Hunt has to turn things around at some time at Kaizer Chiefs.
