BettingDiaryThere are 4 PSL matches taking place on Tuesday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v TS GALAXY

Sundowns are where they ended last season and that is top of the table with 14 points from their 6 matches which have included 4 wins and 2 draws. At home they have taken 7 points from a possible 9 scoring 7 goals and conceding 3 in their 3 home games.

TS Galaxy are 9th on the table and suffered their first defeat of the season when they went down 1-0 at home to Stellenbosch last time out. They had 4 draws and a win in their opening 5 PSL matches and have drawn all 3 matches on the road.

Mamelodi Sundowns 4/9

Draw 28/10

TS Galaxy 15/2

Suggested Bet: Handicap Sundowns -1 at 27/20

For this bet to arrive I need Sundowns to win by more than a goal something I believe they are capable of against a team perhaps starting to find life in the PSL pretty tough.

STELLENBOSCH v CAPE TOWN CITY

Stellenbosch are 8th on the table on 8 points from their 6 matches, 1 point and 3 positions behind Cape Town City. Stellenbosch have won 2 of their last 3 matches, beating Galaxy on the road and Chippa United at home and in between that they lost 3-0 away at Sundowns.

Cape Town City have lost just 1 of their opening 6 matches, they have also had 3 draws and 2 victories. Last time out they drew 2-2 at home to Pirates and their last away game was a 1-1 draw at AmaZulu. Cape Town City away games averaged 1.5 goals each.

Stellenbosch 16/10

Draw 21/10

Cape Town City 17/10

Suggested Bet: Correct Score 1-0 at 11/2

The home team won this fixture 1-0 on each occasion last season and I am expecting another tight game with a similar score line.

SUPERSPORT UNITED v KAIZER CHIEFS

This is the game of the night and sees SuperSport United, currently in 6th, hosting 12th placed Kaizer Chiefs.

SuperSport have won 3 and lost 2 of their opening 5 games while Chiefs have only won 1 of their opening 6, drawing 3 and losing 2. SuperSport beat Maritzburg 2-1 away last time out and at home they have won both of their matches against Stellenbosch and Black Leopards.

Kaizer Chiefs are without a win in their last 4 games with 3 draws and a loss and last time out drew 2-2 at home to Black Leopards having had to come from behind to get the point. They have played 3 matches on the road drawing 1, losing 1 and winning 1.

SuperSport United 15/10

Draw 19/10

Kaizer Chiefs 43/20

Suggested Bet: SuperSport United win at 15/10

It is hard to back Kaizer Chiefs with any confidence the way they are playing and I have been quite impressed by SuperSport United and think the 15/10 is a reasonable price about them winning at home.

SWALLOWS v MARITZBURG UNITED

Swallow are flying high currently sitting 2nd in the PSL with 3 wins and 3 draws from their first 6 games. Last time out they drew 1-1 at Arrows and their last home game was a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs. Swallows home games have been very low scoring with just 2 goals in total in their opening 3 matches.

Maritzburg United are rock bottom of the table with 1 draw and 5 defeats in their opening 6 games. They did pick up a point at home to Sundowns last time out, drawing 1-1, but they have lost all 3 of their away matches scoring 2 goals and conceding 6,

Swallows 5/10

Draw 29/10

Maritzburg United 11/2

Suggested Bet: The draw at 29/10

While I can understand that Swallows are favourites for this game I cannot bring myself to take the 5/10 and I think that based on their last performance against Sundowns, Maritzburg are capable of getting a point.
