Sevilla were made to work hard coming out 1-0 on top over Wolves in midweek to book their spot in the semi-finals with a 3-0 aggregate win. That was the 6th successive European match that has had 2 goals or less in that Sevilla have been involved in and they have certainly based their run to the last 4 on a solid defence.
Manchester United’s quarter-final was a once off against Copenhagen on neutral turf and it required extra time to win 1-0 after a lack lustre performance. They had few problems in seeing off LASK in the last 16 winning 7-1 on aggregate and their last 32 encounter was 6-1 on aggregate over Club Brugge.
These sides last met in 2018 in the Champions League with Sevilla beating Manchester United 2-1 on aggregate.
