France are hot favourites at 2/7 to win the Six Nations and you can get Ireland at 28/10.

WALES v ITALY

Wales will have been disappointed overall with their campaign which saw them lose quite heavily to Ireland in Round 1. Since then though they have beaten Scotland by 3 at home and narrowly lost to England on the road and last week they gave France a real run for their money in Cardiff going down 13-9.

The Italians are staring another season without a victory in the face and their best performance of the campaign was a 33-22 loss at home to Scotland last week. Other defeats have been by 27 points in France, 33 at home to England and 51 points in Dublin.

The last time these sides met in Cardiff, Wales won 42-0.

Wales 1/100

Draw 80/1

Italy 20/1

HANDICAP: Wales (-27.5)

SUGGESTED BET: Handicap, Italy (+27.5) at 10/11

As much as the Italians are not ready to win a game I think they can beat this handicap against a Wales side that usually battles to put weaker sides away.

IRELAND v SCOTLAND

For Ireland to stand a chance of winning the Six Nations they will need England to beat France in the match after this one, but first step for them is to beat the Scots. Ireland have had a good campaign with the only disappointment the 6 point loss away at France and prior to that they had beaten Wales by 22, Italy by 51 and last week saw off England 32-15 although the English were hampered with an early red card.

Scotland’s campaign opened brightly with a home win over England, but they have failed to kick on and lost to Wales by 3 points in Cardiff, France by 19 points at home and then last week came out and beat Italy 33-22.

Last time these sides met in Dublin it was Ireland triumphing 19-12.

Ireland 1/10

Draw 40/1

Scotland 15/2

HANDICAP: Ireland (-15.5)

SUGGESTED BET: Handicap, Ireland (-15.5) at 19/20

This Irish side is great to watch when they really turn it on and I think they will be able to get the upper hand over the Scots up front and should pull away to win comfortably.

FRANCE v ENGLAND

What a mouth-watering clash this is, France are of course undefeated having opened with a 27 point win over Italy that wasn’t good enough to beat the handicap and then turned in an impressive showing against Ireland, winning by 6 points at home, but in a game in which they were never really in danger of losing. They then travelled to Murrayfield to beat Scotland 36-17 and last week won in Cardiff 13-9.

England were never able to recover from their opening away loss to Scotland although they have subsequently beaten Wales at home and Italy on the road. Last week they got a red card in the first minute and lost 32-15 to Ireland at Twickenham. France beat England 24-17 the last time these sides met in Paris.

France 7/20

Draw 28/1

England 27/10

HANDICAP: France (-7.5)

SUGGESTED BET: Handicap, France (-7.5) at 19/20

I thought the French were a bit below par last week and I am expecting them to turn it on against an English side that put everything on the line against Ireland and may not have that much left to give.
