BettingDiaryThere is plenty of live sport for punters to bet on this Friday and we take a look at some of the highlights in our Daily Diary.

CRICKET

The West Indies go into the 2nd Test against India as rank underdogs at 6/1 with the draw at 11/2 and the Indians as short as 1/3. Virat Kohli let us down on the 1st Test when he failed in the first innings and we can’t see it happening twice in a row and think the 17/20 that he gets a 50 in the 1st innings is worth having a go at.

RUGBY

The Rugby Weekend gets going on Friday with the Mitre10 matches in the morning. Otago v Manawatu is televised and Otago are massive favourites here at (-15.5) points with plenty of money coming for them during the week. Total points backers will take an interest in the line which is 60.5 points and in what has been a high scoring Tournament, overs could be the play.

There is a Currie Cup Division One match on Friday night and fortunately Super Sport are televising it.

The Jaguares XV are playing the Griffons from Welkom and they are (-13.5) point favourites at the time of writing.

TENNIS

The US Open continues on Friday and you can click here for links to all of the matches in the Men’s Tournament.

A number of the Ladies fixtures have been priced up at the time of writing, Serena Williams is 2/11 to win her match against Karolina Muchova. We fancy something of a minor upset and are going for Sofia Kenin to beat Madison Keys at 13/10

CYCLING

The Tour of Spain continues on Friday with a brutish stage which is certain to sort out the men from the boys. Thursday’s 6th Stage was marred by a bad crash with Podium contender Rigoberto Uran having to withdraw and with the time trial looming next week, Miguel Angel Lopez will be looking to pull more time on Primoz Roglic.

There will be updated markets after each stage as well as Stage Winner and Stage Match Betting for the following stage.

FOOTBALL

There is a busy weekend of football ahead, but Friday’s highlight looks to be the La Liga clash between Sevilla and Celta Vigo.

Sevilla currently top the table with 2 wins in their 2 starts and they play Celta Vigo who are mid-table having beaten Valencia 1-0 at home last time out, but having lost 3-1 at home to Real Madrid in their first game. Sevilla are firm favourite to win the game at 11/20 and we fancy them on the handicap of (-1) meaning they must win by 2 goals or more at a price of 27/20.

For those fortunate enough to be in front of the TV during the day, the European Masters Golf continues and you can click here for the link to the in-running betting where South African, Erik Van Rooyen is once again in contention having been tipped in our Diary at 30/1 yesterday.

HORSE RACING

Let’s end off with Horse Racing with local horse racing taking place at the Fairview Turftrack, a 9 race card starting at 12h05 and ending at 16h45.

There are plenty of open races on the card and in Race 5 over 2000 metres we have a small fancy for horse No. 5, Three Times A Lady, currently priced at 5/1.
