BettingDiaryWimbledon and AFCON 2019 take centre stage on Monday and we take a look at some of the betting options available to punters.

AFCON 2019

South African interest in AFCON has certainly increased following the stunning victory against Egypt on Saturday night.  Egypt were the ruling Tournament favourites heading into the game and Bafana Bafana were superb in victory and now have to lift themselves again for a quarter-final against Nigeria.

There are still a couple of last 16 games to get out the way though and the Ivory Coast are favourites to beat Mali in the 90 minutes at 13/10 with Mali 27/10 and the draw priced at 37/20.

The Ghana v Tunisia game looks like being a close affair with the draw priced at 17/10 and Ghana are narrow favourites at 15/10 with Tunisia priced at just under 5/2.

The ladies draw at Wimbledon still looks far more open with Ashleigh Barty a 5/2 favourite ahead of Karolina Pliskova at 7/2 and Serena Williams at 11/2.  You can get 7/1 and better the balance.

TOUR DE FRANCE

The Tour de France continues on Monday and we have already had a dramatic start with a number of crashes.  Things should start to settle down on Monday’s stage and it looks like one for the tough sprinters or classic riders as there is a steep incline to finish.  Look out for the likes of Valverde, Van Avermaet, Sagan and the dynamic French rider Alaphilippe.

There are outright win odds and match bets on each stage and the General Classification such as the Yellow Jersey, Green Jersey Points Classification and King of the Mountain’s Jersey are updated daily.

Rugby Championship

New Zealand are 2/7 favourites to win yet another Rugby Championship and the Springboks are 11/2 with Australia 9/1 and Argentina the rank outsiders at 20/1 although it must be noted that they opened at 25/1 and some money has come for them.  Their first game against New Zealand at home will be critical if they are to mount a challenge.
